Design Notes - The paired VMG-FOJ is one of the best in the game. Like most of you designers, I made one and found it hard to make a div15 with Solid tires. As you can see from below, I've done this many times, and finally this year I put my laptop to the grindstone and made a pretty good version.

The necessary components in addition to that weapon array: Div15, solid tires, IFE, wheel protection. I was able to get component armor, and a full array of dischargers (10), but no bumper triggers or other fancy accessories. This is really tight & to the minimum to get Div15. I like that it's fully encased in Metal armor b/c that makes things fireproof

Here are the previous versions:

Ophelia 2067 - Div90, Div30 Pickup (Galaxy, Updated)

Type: Pickup, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Active-Heavy, Engine: 200 cid IC engine (Tubes/Blue/VP/Spr, 12 dp, 4500 pwr), 6 gal. dueling tank (8dp), Tires: 6 FP-Radial-Steelbelted-Solids (14dp), Crew: Driver (no equip), Weaponry HL (pulse, 4D+4, fire 2/0) front, ramplate Weighted Accessories: laser battery, Active Suspension, IFE, safety seat, HD shocks, spoiler & airdam, Unwgt. Acces.: HRSWC, HD-antilock brakes, no-paint windshield, [0 total links], Dischargers: 10 total: 4 ice (FBRL) 6 hot smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L), Defenses: Styx Defensive System*; Wheel Armor: 35 total = 2x10 pt WG rear, 15 pts WH front (choose where), Component Armor none Cargo: 11 sp, 1.1 lbs.; Vehicle Armor: 164 pts LRFP Plastic: F 50(ram) B32 R33 L33 T8 U8; HC: 4 (5 over 60), Acc. 20, Top Speed 85, MPG: 34, Range: 204, DM: 1, Hit Mod: 0, Weight: 7798.9 lbs. Max 7800, Cost: $89,900.00

  • Div30 Option 1 - Pickup, Xhvy Ch., Hvy Sus, Super PP, 6 PR-Radial tires, driver, HL front, ramplate, IFE, roll-cage, safety seat, spoilers & airdam, HTM & Overdrive (linked), bumper trigger front, 10 dischargers (4 oil, 2 smoke, 4 foam); 38 pts WG/WH, 71 pts component armor (25 MET/46 Plastic): F(10/12, ram) B(4/8) R(4/8) L(4/8) T(1/5) U(2/5); HC 4 (5 over 60), Acc. 5 (HTM 10/Overdrive 2.5), Top 90 (67.5/110), 7799 lbs, $29,988
Design Notes - Updated from this 2037 design:
Pickup, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., Super PP, 6 Radial-PR Tires, Driver; HL front, ramplate, TC, 250 pts Plastic Armor: F 60 (ram) B 50 R 40 L 40 T 30 U 30; HC: 3, Acc. 5, 7790 lbs. (max 7800), $29,705.00.
So the problem of updating this truck is that I have a lot of 'Pickups with Heavy Laser front':
To make this a proper update, I decided to focus on the ramcar aspects. The option is to try to keep it to div30.

Name Notes - See the original.

* Styx Defensive System = 6 Hot Smoke Dischargers linked to 5 laser reactive webs (F, B, R, L, T; covering tires of those sides as well) & 4 bumper triggers (to ice & also linked to that side's weapons)

Metis 2067 - Div5 Compact (Galaxy)

Type: Compact, Chassis: Standard, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Medium Electric (no mods) (Pwr 1400, 8dp), Tires: 4 Heavy Duty (6 dp), Crew: Driver (no equip) Weaponry SS (10/reg) & SD (10/reg) linked back, Weighted Accessories: nil Unwgt. Acces.: nil, [1 total links], Dischargers: none; Wheel Armor: 20 total = 2x9 pt WG rear, 2x1 pt WH front, Component Armor 10 pts for (a) PP (FP, 4 sp), (b) Driver (reg, 2 sp), Cargo: 0 sp, 2 lbs.; Vehicle Armor: 41 pts Composite (33 Metal/8 Plastic): F(8/0) B(7/0) R(8/0) L(8/0) T(1/4) U(1/4); HC: 3, Acc. 5 Top Speed 97.5, DM: 2/3, Hit Mod: -1, Weight: 3698 lbs. Max 3700, Cost: $4,976.00

  • Option 1 - replace SS & SD with FOJ (15 shots), add 3 pts MET armor, $4999.00
Design Notes I'm trying to make more Div5 cars. This was to make a pure dropped weapon car with decent armor and that meant a compact. Once I had that size, I hoped I could put in component armor. The option may actually be better than the original: a flaming oil jet in a Div5 fight?!

Name Notes - From the Wiki: "Metis, also known as Jupiter XVI, is the innermost moon of Jupiter. It was discovered in 1979 in images taken by Voyager 1, and was named in 1983 after the first wife of Zeus, Metis."

Terra 2066 - Div20 Midsized (Galaxy) (Update)

Update of this 2037 design.

Type: Midsized, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Large Electric (Pwr 2000, 10dp) Tires: 4 Solids(12dp), Crew: Driver (no equip) Weaponry RR (10/HEAT) in turret (2D+2 area), HDFOJ (10/reg) back (1D-2, fire mod: 3/2), weapons linked Weighted Accessories: safety seat, spoiler & airdam, Unwgt. Acces.: HRSWC, HD-brakes, HTM [1 total link], Dischargers: 10 total: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L), Defenses: Styx Defensive System*; Wheel Armor: 60 total = 2x10 pt WG rear, 4x10 pt WH all wheels Component Armor 9 pts LRFP for PP (5 sp), Cargo: 0 sp, 2 lbs.; Vehicle Armor: 59 pts Composite armor (36 Metal/23 Plastic): F(6/3) B(6/3) R(9/3) L(9/3) T(4/6) U(2/5); HC: 3 (4 over 60), Acc. 5 (HTM 10),  Top Speed 90 (67.5), DM: 1, Hit Mod: 0, Weight: 5758 lbs. Max 5760, Cost: $19,995.50

* Styx Defensive System = 6 Smoke Dischargers linked to 5 laser reactive webs (F, B, R, L, T; covering tires of those sides as well) & 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons) Design Notes - Updated from this obsolete 2037 design:
Midsized, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., Large PP, 4 Solid Tires, Driver; RR with mag in turret, HDFOJ back, HRTC, 4x10 pts WG on all wheels, 236 pts Plastic Armor: F 60 B 40 R 50 L 50 T 21 U 15; HC: 2, Acc. 5, 5753 lbs. (max 5760), $19,976.00
I felt this needed to be updated for 'modern' times just to be thorough. I felt limited by the core weapon system (RR & HDFOJ), the body size, and price class. I took the RR extra mag out to get some component armor. If I could, I'd reduce the HDFOJ to an OJ and add an IFE, but then it'd be the fabled Hyperion.

Summary
Summary: Midsized, X-Hvy Ch, Hvy Sus, Large PP, 4 Solid Tires, Driver, RR (10/HEAT) in turret, HDFOJ (10/reg) back, safety seat, spoiler & airdam, HRSWC, HD-brakes, HTM, 4 OD (FBRL) 6 SkD (2T, 2U, 1R 1L), 5 laser webs, 4 bump trig, 60 pts WG/WH, 9 pts LRFP Cmp Ar. for PP; Armor (36 Metal/23 Plastic): F(6/3) B(6/3) R(9/3) L(9/3) T(4/6) U(2/5), HC 3 (4), Acc. 5 (10), Top 90 (67.5), 5758 lbs. $19,995.50

Max 2760, Cost: $9,898.00

  • Roll Cage Option - Type: Subcompact, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: OR, Engine: Small Electric (PC & SC) (Pwr 920, 5dp), Tires: 4 OR-Solids (12dp), Crew: Driver (no equip); Weaponry LMG (19/reg.) front, Weighted Accessories: roll-cage, brushcutter, Unwgt. Acces.: SWC, HD brakes, [0 total links], Dischargers: 10 total: 4 oil (FBRL) 3 smoke (1U, 1R 1L), 2 Foam (1U, 2T), Defenses: 4 bumper triggers linked to Oil Disch; Wheel Armor: 8 total = 2x4 pt WG rear, Component Armor nil, Cargo: 0 sp, 0.5 lbs.; Vehicle Armor: 70 pts Composite (2 Metal/68 Plastic): F(0/12) B(0/12) R(0/15) L(0/15) T(0/10) U(2/4); HC: 3 (OR 3), Acc. 5,  Top Speed 90, DM: 2/3, Hit Mod: -1, Weight: 2759.5 lbs. Max 2760, Cost: $9,988.00 .

  • Option 2 - same as roll cage option; replace roll-cage with FE; $9,388.00
Design Notes - Updated from this 2037 design:
Subcompact, Xhvy Ch., Hvy Sus., OR suspension, Medium PP, driver, 4 OR solids, MG front, SWC; 78 pts FP armor: F24 R15 L15 B20 T2 U2; Acc. 10 HC 2 (HC3 in 2063), 2760 lbs., $9566 (listed, really its $9,216.00).
At first it appears to be such a simple enough design (subcompact with an MG, gotcha) that it may not need updated.  But where's the fun in that?  It's possibly why I decided on a LMG with explosive ammo - i.e. just to not make this car a cliche.  Since it's OR, I added the brushcutter.  In order to make room/weight for the standard upgrades (WG, disch., CA) I reduced the engine from Medium to Light, accepting the reduction in acceleration, and offseting that with HTM (can't be 'Mercury' without being fast).

Name Notes - The planet Mercury.

For your reference and my use, I've made a master list of the names, and remaining possible names, for the Galaxy cars.  The main part of the list are the names of our solar system planets and moons.  There are many more Galaxy objects available (and I've put some on there)

Abbreviations:
W =  link to the Wikipedia page, if available.
D10 (or whatever number): the division,
Year in parenthesis is the model year.

* = I know, officially, Pluto is not a (full) planet, but (a) when I started Car Warsing, it was a planet, and (b) I truly don't give a hoot: it's always gonna be a planet in my Universe.

Luna 2065 - D10 Light Cycle (Galaxy)

Type: Light Cycle (C/A frame), Chassis: Cycle, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: 10 cid IC engine (Tubes/Blue/VP), 3 gal. Heavy Duty tank (4dp), Tires: 2 FP-PRs (8dp), Crew: Driver (no equip), Weaponry HMG (9/HD) front (2D area), Weighted Accessories: nil, Unwgt. Acces.: HD brakes, Overdrive, [0 total links], Vehicle Armor: 12 pts: F(6) B(6); HC: 3, Acc. 15 (Overdrive 7.5),  Top Speed 80 (100), MPG: 80, Range: 240, DM: 1/3, Hit Mod: -2, Weight: 797 lbs. Max 800, Cost: $9,830.00

Design Notes - The idea was to make a light cycle with a HMG with HD ammo.  That required the smallest possible engine, comparatively low armor, etc.  Without playtesting, I've decided that that cycles should have C/A frames

Name Notes - In making a master list of the galaxy cars I realize I didn't have one for our moon (although I have the distinct memory of making one back in the day).

    Antiope 2065 - Div25 Luxury (Galaxy, Updated)

Type: Luxury, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Sport (SC) (Pwr 3300, 12dp), Tires: 4 Solid Tires (12dp), Crew: Driver (no equip) & Gunner (no equip), Weaponry VMG (20/incen) in turret (2D area, burn 2/1), 2 linked MFRP front (1Dx6, burst) Weighted Accessories: IFE, Unweighted Accessories: HD brakes, HDHTM, Dischargers: 10: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 foam (2T, 2U, 1R 1L) Defenses: n/a; Wheel Armor: 40 total = 2x10 pt WG rear, 2x10 pt WH front, Component Armor:  Power Plant = 10 pts FP over 6 spaces, Driver = 10 pts FP over 2 spaces, Cargo: No space, no weight; Vehicle Armor: 92 pts Composite Armor (19 Metal/73 Plastic): F(4/13) B(4/13) R(4/16) L(4/16) T(1/10) U(2/5); HC: 3, Acc. 10 (HDHTM 20),  Top Speed 120 (80), Cruising: 72, DM: 1, Hit Mod: 1, Weight: 6600 lbs. Max 6600, Cost: $24,960.00
    • Option - remove gunner, slope the armor, modify composite to 67 pts (29 Metal/38 plastic): F(6/6) B(5/6) R(7/8) L(7/8) T(2/5) U(2/5); $24,981.00

Design Notes - Updated from this obsolete 2037 design:
    Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Thundercat PP, 4 PR Tires, Driver & Gunner; VMG (20/HD-incen) in turret, 2 linked MFRPs front, 125 pts Plastic Armor: F 30 B 25 R 20 L 20 T 15 U 15; HC: 3, Acc. 10, 6600 lbs., $24,650.00
It was obsolete because of the ammo (and, in a sense, because of the unnecessary T-cat engine).  This was a design challenge but I think I managed it (with the help of the MADHAT excel sheet - that little tool makes this whole blog viable).  I'm not sure if I need the gunner, hence the option.

In recent days, I've realized that HD brakes are more important than my laser array stuff and I'm giving primacy to that now.

Name Notes - See the original; it's good.

    Bergelmir 2065 - Div15/10 Sedan (Galaxy)

Type: Sedan, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Large (PC) (Pwr 2100, 10dp),  Tires: 4 PR Tires (9dp), Crew: Driver (no equip), Weaponry: 2 liked RR (10/reg) front (2D burst), SS (10/reg) back, Weighted Accessories: nil, Unweighted Accessories: nil, [1 total link], Dischargers: nil, Defenses: nil; Wheel Armor: nil, Component Armor:  Power Plant = 10 pts over 5 spaces, Driver = 10 pts over 2 spaces, Cargo: No space, 5 lbs,  Vehicle Armor: 82 pts sloped Composite (42 Metal/40 Plastic): F(10/5) B(10/5) R(10/5) L(10/5) T(0/15) U(2/5); HC: 3, Acc. 5,  Top Speed 90, Cruising: 54, DM: 1, Dam Mod: -1, Weight: 6115 lbs. Max 6120, Cost: $12,971.00
    • Div 10 Option - Sedan, Heavy Chassis, Heavy Sus., Large PP (2000 pwr), 4 HD tires, driver, 2 linked RL front (10/reg), JD (10/reg) rear, 10 pts Comp Armor around driver (2sp) & PP (5sp), 51 pts sloped composite armor (41 Metal/10 Plastic): F(10/0) B(9/0) R(10/0) L(10/0) T(0/6) U(2/4), HC 3, Acc 5, Top 92.5, 5610 lbs, $9877.50

Design Notes - I tried to make a decent Div10 sedan but I found that to make this actually usable I didn't feel good about taking too much out, as can be seen with the hideous div10 option (which may actually be different enough to not be the same car, although it's been a long time since I had a Div10 duel so who knows).

Name Notes - From the Wiki: "Bergelmir (/bɛərˈjɛlmɪər/ bair-YEL-meer) or Saturn XXXVIII (38) (provisional designation S/2004 S 15) is a natural satellite of Saturn. ... It was named in April 2007 after Bergelmir, a giant from Norse mythology and the grandson of Ymir, the primordial giant. Bergelmir and his wife alone among their kind were the only survivors of the enormous deluge of blood from Ymir's wounds when he was killed by Odin and his brothers at the dawn of time. Bergelmir then became the progenitor of a new race of giants."

    Anthe 2065 - Div5 Sedan (Galaxy)

Type: Sedan, Chassis: Light, Suspension: Improved, Engine: Medium (Pwr 1400, 8dp), Tires: 4 HD (5dp), Crew: Driver (no equip) & Gunner (no equip),

    • FT (10/reg) (1D, fire mod 4/3) left,
Weighted Accessories: n/a, Unweighted Accessories: n/a, Dischargers: n/a, Defenses: n/a; Wheel Armor: n/a, Component Armor:  Power Plant = 10 pts over 4 spaces, Driver = 10 pts over 2 spaces, Cargo: n/a

    24 pts sloped Plastic Armor: F(5) B(5) R(5) L(5) T(2) U(2)

HC: 2, Acc. 5,  Top Speed 90, Cruising: 54, DM: 1, Dam Mod: -1, Weight: 4196 lbs. Max 4590 (but 4 lbs avail to max weight for the Pwr factors) , Cost: $4,935.20

Design Notes - This was a design  challenge, and (yugh) it's not something I would use.

Name Notes - From the Wiki: "Anthe (/ˈænθ/ AN-thee;[b] Greek: Άνθη) is a very small natural satellite of Saturn lying between the orbits of Mimas and Enceladus. It is also known as Saturn XLIX; its provisional designation was S/2007 S 4. It is named after one of the Alkyonides; the name means flowery. It is the sixtieth confirmed moon of Saturn."

The Alkyonides are (also from the Wiki): "The Alkyonides (/ælkˈɒnɪdz/; Ancient Greek: Ἀλκυονίδες) were, in Greek mythology, the seven daughters of Alcyoneus. When their father was slain by Heracles, they threw themselves into the sea, and were transformed into halcyons (kingfishers) by Amphitrite. Max 5760, Cost: $17,658.00

Design Notes - More and more sedans.  I'm trying to make cheaper versions but as I've said before, I haven't seen the purpose of this body type.  At max weight, they must have a Large PP (PC),  and to fill the space it needs 20K to make it worthwhile. I made the luxury option to see if there was any thing that sedans had over Luxurys and Midsized.  I didn't attempt to maintain the price level and to keep the comparison standard I kept the basic weapons.  For luxury I modified it by adding a safety seat and sloped the armor; for midsized I needed to take out the component armor (which is a loss).

Name Notes - From the Wiki: "Suttungr (/ˈsʊtʊŋər/ SUUT-uung-ər), or Saturn XXIII, is a natural satellite of Saturn. It was discovered by Brett J. Gladman, et al. in 2000, and given the temporary designation S/2000 S 12. It was named for Suttungr in Norse mythology, a Jötunn or giant who once owned the mead of poetry."

Design Notes - It's a new year and I'm making some sedans (see first of this batch here).  This design was to get a decent Div15 option.

Name Notes - From the Wiki: "Aegir (/ˈ.ɪər/ EYE-eer) or Saturn XXXVI (provisional designation S/2004 S 10) is a natural satellite of Saturn. Its discovery was announced by Scott S. Sheppard, David C. Jewitt, Jan Kleyna, and Brian G. Marsden on May 4, 2005, from observations taken between December 12, 2004, and March 11, 2005. ... It was named in April 2007 after Ægir, a giant from Norse mythology, the personification of tranquil seas, the one who soothes storms away. He is a son of Fornjót, and brother of Logi (fire, flame) and Kári (wind)."

    Varuna 2065 - Div20 Sedan (Galaxy)

Max 6120, Cost: $19,935.20
    • Expensive Option - add SC to engine (2300 pwr), upgrade tires to Radial-Solids, HMG have HD ammo, HDOJ is now HDFOJ, add 1 pt WH, upgrade SWC to HRSWC, add 5 laser reactive webs (FBRLT) linked to the smoke dischargers, component armor is in same places but now 9 pts LRFP, remove 30 pts plastic armor: HC 4, Acc. 5, Top 97.5, 6119.6 lbs, $29,588.70
Design Notes - I've decided to make more sedans, and it may take a few tries before I can get a normal design.  Div20 is the easiest division to shoot for (har) and the 'option' was what I started off with.

Name Notes - From the Wiki: "20000 Varuna is a large classical Kuiper belt object. It is probably a dwarf planet. It rotates rapidly and hence its shape is probably very elongated. ... Varuna is named after a Hindu deity. Varuna was one of the most important deities of the ancient Indians, and he presided over the waters of the heaven and of the ocean and was the guardian of immortality.[10] Due to his association with the waters and the ocean, he is often identified with Greek Poseidon and Roman Neptune."

Max 2760, Cost: $9,653.00

Design Notes -This was in my archive folder dated Nov 20, 2012 under the name "Pocket Rocket."  I kept it from the blog because I guess I wanted to reduce it to Div5.  But I've actually made other Div5 Subcompact with RLs: Weywot and the Nunam option.  As it stands, the primary entry has to be in my 3Q Division ($7500 and under).

Jan 3, 2014 Update: I noticed the Div5 version was unchanged from the original.  Oops.  While re-entering the data, I realized I could make this Div5 by dropping a point in suspension etc., hence Option 2.

Name Notes - Hydra is a moon of Pluto.  How did I not use this name yet?  Considering it's the trade name of the standard anti-tank rocket of the US military.  About the moon: "Hydra is the outermost known natural satellite of Pluto. It was discovered along with Nix in June 2005,  ... The name is that of the Hydra, the nine-headed serpent which battled Hercules in Greco-Roman mythology. The nine heads of Hydra are a reference to Pluto's tenure as the ninth planet; its initial, H, refers to the Hubble Telescope which discovered Hydra"

    • 2053 Original - Type: Sedan, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Large (PC) (Pwr 2100, 10dp), Tires: 4 Solid Tires (12dp), Crew: Driver (in BA) Weaponry: BC (10/reg) front (4D burst), OG (10/reg) back, Weighted Accessories: none, Unweighted Accessories: TC, Dischargers: 7 oil/smoke (F B 2R 2L 1T)  Defenses: none; Wheel Armor: 2x10 pt WG rear, 19 pts for WH front, Component Armor:  Power Plant = 10 pts FP over 5 spaces, Driver = 10 pts FP over 2 spaces, Cargo: No space, 2 lbs; 203 pts Plastic Armor: F 40 B 40 R 48 L 48 T 10 U 17; HC: 3, Acc. 5,  Top Speed 90, Cruising: 54 Weight: 6118 lbs. Max 6200, Cost: $19,944.00

    • Div25 Luxury OptionType: Luxury, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Large (SC) (Pwr 2300, 10dp), Tires: 4 Solid Tires (12dp), Crew: Driver (no equip) Weaponry: BC with mag (18/HESH, last 2 reg) front (4D burst*), OG (10/reg) back, Weighted Accessories: none, Unweighted Accessories: HRSWC to BC, SWC to OG, HTM, [2 total links], Dischargers: 10 dischargers: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L), Defenses: Smoke Dischargers linked to 2 laser reactive webs (L, T; covering tires of those sides as well); 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); Wheel Armor: 2x10 pt WG rear, 19 pts for WH front, Component Armor:  Power Plant = 9 pts LRFP over 5 spaces, Driver = 9 pts LRFP over 2 spaces, Cargo: No space, 0.4 lbs; 73 pts sloped Composite Armor (34 LR Metal/39 Plastic): F 8/5 B 8/5 R 8/7 L 8/7 T 0/10 U 2/5; HC: 3, Acc. 5 (HTM 10), Top Speed 90 (67.5), Cruising: 54 Weight: 6599.6 lbs. Max 6600, Cost: $24,992.50
Design Notes - This was in my draft pile dated Oct 8, 2009.  The original form of the car is now listed as an option (you can tell it's from a few years ago because back then I was giving the crew personal weapons and I didn't use metal armor much nor all 10 possible dischargers).

Anyway, I haven't made as many sedans as I should and I guess I should look at them as "Luxury light" - i.e. same design as a luxury but without armor sloping.  As far as I can tell, that's the biggest loss.  And to test that I made the second option... which gave me 3 extra spaces, actually.  So I sloped the armor, added a mag to the BC, and added some armor.  Lost the "weight class" though.

Name Notes -Part of the Galaxy series but I'm moving away from moons for now and using Constellations. Andromeda is a very famous, and naturally ancient, constellation.

    Cupid - Div15 Subcompact (Galaxy)

Type: Subcompact Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Small (PC & SC) (Pwr 920, 5dp), Tires: 4 Radial-Solid Tires (11dp), Crew: Driver (blended BA); Weaponry:  Pulsed Light Laser front (1D+1 area), Weighted Accessories: none, Unweighted Accessories: SWC, [2 total links], Dischargers: 10 dischargers: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L), Defenses: Smoke Dischargers linked to 2 laser reactive webs (R, L; covering tires of those sides as well); 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); Wheel Armor: 2x10 pt WG rear, 2x10 pt WH front, Component Armor:  none, Cargo: No space, no weight; 67 pts sloped Plastic Armor: F 15 B 15 R 15 L 15 T 3 U 4; HC: 5, Acc. 5, Top Speed 90, Cruising: 54 Weight: 2760 lbs. Max 2760, Cost: $14,860.70

    • Div 20 Option - Frame is C/A; add 100 pts vehicular armor; $19,220.70
    • Div 10 Option - Type: Subcompact Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Small (PC & SC) (Pwr 920, 5dp), Tires: 4 Solid Tires (12dp), Crew: Driver (no eqip); Weaponry:  Light Laser front (1D area), Weighted Accessories: none, Unweighted Accessories: SWC, [3 total links], Dischargers: 10 dischargers: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L), Defenses: Smoke Dischargers linked to 3 laser reactive webs (F, R, L; covering tires of those sides as well); 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); Wheel Armor: 2x10 pt WG rear, 2x10 pt WH front, Component Armor:  none, Cargo: No space, no weight; 80 pts sloped Plastic Armor: F 20 B 20 R 16 L 16 T 4 U 4; HC: 4, Acc. 5, Top Speed 90, Cruising: 54 Weight: 2760 lbs. Max 2760, Cost: $9,918.00

Design Notes -I had this in my draft pile dated Sept 5, 2010.  I suspect my basic idea was to get a pulsed LL in a subcompact.  LLs offer the best accuracy, damage, and weight distribution with unlimited ammo.  Sadly, subcompacts carry such poor armor that this can remain only a concept car.

Name Notes - Cupid is a very small moon of Uranus. According to the Wiki: "It was discovered by Mark R. Showalter and Jack J. Lissauer in 2003 ... [and] was named after a character in William Shakespeare's play Timon of Athens.  It is the smallest of inner Uranian satellites, crudely estimated to be only about 18 km in diameter."
