Option - remove right MD, add Component Armor: Power Plant = 9 pts LRFP over 5 spaces, Driver = 9 pts LRFP over 2 spaces, add 6 pts external armor; 6598.6 lbs, $30,927.50
Design Notes -As noted, this is an upgrade of this car, a rear-guard vehicle:
Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Ch., Heavy Sus., Large PP (PC & SC) (Pwr 2300, 10dp), 4 Solid Tires (12dp), Driver & Gunner (each with SWC, ABV/BA, SMG with 9 shots, 2 thermite grenades with impact fuses), OG (10/reg) back, HDSS (10/reg) back, MD (10/reg) right, MD (10/reg) left, IFE, spoiler & airdam, 3 links for weaponry, 2 SWCs, 2x10 pt WG rear, 2x10 pt WH front, 2x1pt WH rear, (personal equipment: $2158, 52 lbs) 183 pts Plastic Armor: F 20 B 60 R 34 L 34 T 15 U 20, HC: 3 (4 over 60), Acc. 5, Top Speed 92.5, Cruising: 55.5 6600 lbs. $20,738.00The idea behind the updates was that the gunner is nice but unnecessary when you have only 1 aimed weapon. Also, the ammo levels are low: only 10 shots each for all these things. For a road-vehicle, that's sparse. I was also concerned with the MD placement (which I couldn't actually fix).
The mods were to (a) remove the gunner to use the space/weight for extra mags, (b) change the HDSS to a HDPS and move it to the front to allow more weapons to the rear; I presumed that a paint spray would bathe the car in paint but the no-paint windshield would protect me while harming others (c) extra mags for the sprayers (for some reason, MDs bother me for long trips because you won't see that patch of road again).
I still consider this a Div30 because a tweaker can drop components to get to the level.
Name Notes - Prospero is a moon of Uranus, according to the Wiki: "discovered on 18 July 1999 by the astrophysicist Matthew Holman and his team ... named after the sorcerer Prospero in William Shakespeare's play The Tempest."
