Orcus 2037 - Div20 Luxury (Combat, Galaxy)

Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy Sus., Super PP, 4 SD tires, driver & gunner, VMG in turret, PG front, OG rear, 2 ejector seats, 2 SWC to VMG, 165 pts. Plastic Armor, F40 R30 L30 B30 T20 U15, Acc. 5, HC 3, 6600 lbs., $19,850

  • Option 1 - remove ejector seats, add incendiary ammo, 20 pts of armor: $19,550
  • Combat Option - like Option 1, add 6 weightless 2037 Smoke Dischargers, bumper trigger front, $19,950

Design notes - Vulcans and oilguns, two great tastes that taste great together. I could do without the ejector seats; as far as I know they're just a way of losing prestige in an arena. Gold cross is more expensive but better in the long run. This is ripe for some modern tweaking, but I'd happily use this in combat tomorrow.

Nov 13, 2013 Update:
Turns out, I did take it into combat!  The Combat Option above:
  • SHOTS: OG 2, PG 1
  • HITS: 1 to left, 35 to right!!, OG 3 hits, PP 12 hits (destroyed), driver & gunner 3 hits
  • I assume I lost.  What the heck happened?

Name notes - Originally this was called "Uzbot." I renamed it Orcus after the D&D demon (see below) but then I saw it was also a planetoid:  "90482 Orcus is a trans-Neptunian object in the Kuiper belt with a large moon, Vanth. It was discovered on February 17, 2004 by Michael Brown of Caltech, Chad Trujillo of the Gemini Observatory, and David Rabinowitz of Yale University. Precovery images as early as November 8, 1951 were later identified. It is probably a dwarf planet."

Picture nikked from here.
