Technetium - Div25 Sedan (Elemental)

Type:
Sedan, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Large Electric (PC) (Pwr 2100, 10dp), Tires: 4 Solids (12dp), Crew: Driver (no equip), Weaponry RL (10/incen.) front (2D+2, fire mod: 3/2), TL (front) LGL to 10 rounds, Weighted Accessories: rollcage, IFE, safety seat, HD shocks, spoiler & airdam, Unwgt. Acces.: SWC (to TL), HD-antilock brakes, HTM & Overdrive (linked), [6 total links], Dischargers: 10 total: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L), Defenses: Styx Defensive System*; Wheel Armor: 60 total = 2x10 pt WG rear, 4x10 pt WH front, Component Armor 9 pts LRFP for (a) PP (5 sp), (b) Driver (2 sp), & (c) RL (2 sp) Cargo: 0 sp, 7.8 lbs.; Vehicle Armor: 153 pts sloped Composite (7 Metal/146 Plastic): F(1/30) B(1/30) R(1/35) L(1/35) T(1/6) U(2/10); HC: 3 (4 over 60), Acc. 5 (HTM 10/Overdrive 2.5),  Top Speed 90 (67.5/110), DM: 1, Hit Mod: -1, Weight: 6112.2 lbs. Max 6120, Cost: $24,699.80
  • Turret Option - Add turret, put RL & TL in the turret; remove HD-shocks, remove 5 pts metal vehicle armor & 1 pt WH, add 6 pts plastic vehicle armor; $24,461.10, 6117.2 lbs (2.8lbs extra).
Design Notes -  I'm still in my Sedan phase and the design concept is to start with my favorite group of standards: solid tires, IFE, safety seat, roll-cage etc. After a while, I started running out of weight while still having space. And, as many designers know, that means I needed to resort to a RL w/LGL (and not even in a turret!). That's the first option.

Name Notes - Got to admit, while I'm pretty familiar with the elements, I knew nothing about this element, which is in the middle of the periodic table, yet radioactive & synthetic. That surprised me.

From the Wiki: "It is the lightest element whose isotopes are all radioactive, none of which is stable other than the fully ionized state of 97Tc. Nearly all available technetium is produced as a synthetic element. Naturally occurring technetium is a spontaneous fission product in uranium ore and thorium ore, the most common source, or the product of neutron capture in molybdenum ores. The silvery gray, crystalline transition metal lies between manganese and rhenium in group 7 of the periodic table,... "

All in all, not so bad an idea except that it's still hard to fit all the fun stuff into one frame, and with the modern upgrades I couldn't get it under 20.

* Styx Defensive System = 6 Foam Dischargers linked to 5 laser reactive webs (F, B, R, L, T; covering tires of those sides as well) & 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons)

Max 6600, Cost: $24,863.50

Design Notes - Updated from this 2037 design:
Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., Super PP, 4 Solid Tires, Driver; RL with mag in turret, 2 linked RR front, OJ back, PS right, PS left, HRTC, 181 pts Plastic Armor: F 40 B 30 R 30 L 30 T 26 U 25; HC: 3, Acc. 5, 6600 lbs. (max 6600), $24,220.00
Once I have a luxury, it seems a crime to not slope the armor & add component armor. To do that, I needed to drop 1 PS & 1 weapon. In addition, I feel when you have a front & turrent weapon they should be the same type if possible to exploit the smartlink.

* Styx Defensive System = 6 Smoke Dischargers linked to 5 laser reactive webs (F, B, R, L, T; covering tires of those sides as well) & 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons) Defenses: Styx Defensive System*;

The main entry is trying to keep the Div30ness. The first option is to upgrade everything to crazy levels, the second is to moderate things to Div60 (why 60? a hunch). Not sure why a pickup is best for this weaponry, possibly for the armor, but on another hunch I decided to test it as a midsized and it may be a better car (more component armor for one thing,  and cheaper!)

Name Notes - This is the sound a laser makes. Ugh.  It's from my earliest cars, because those had the stupidest names.

Design Notes - Update of this obsolete 2037 design:
Midsized, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Large PP, 4 Solid Tires, Driver, RL (10/incen) front, 2 linked HR front, 2 linked HR back, HR on rocket platform, ITL on platform, LGL to all 15 rockets, 10 pts CA around TL (on rocket platform - OBSOLETE), ramplate, TC, bumper trigger front to all 3 weapons, 203 pts Plastic Armor: F 50 (ram) B 38 R 40 L 40 T 15 U 20; HC: 3, Acc. 5, 5760 lbs. (max 5760), $19,960.00
Do I need smartlinks when all the rockets are being fired from the same laser?  I reduced the TC to a SWC because it's all rockets are using that TL as well.  Anyway, I didn't bother reducing my first update - which I make as close to the original design as I can - to Div20, because it's so cruddy.  I saved that set of gymnastics for the options.

The sedan option is a thought experiment based on what I've been wondering about that body style (see these entries), and weather there's an advantage to midsized vs sedan.  In terms of this design, the sedan has much less armor, but it does allow the component armor (and a Fire Ext.) with the same weapon system, but for a higher price.

Name Notes - nothing special.

Antiope 2065 - Div25 Luxury (Galaxy, Updated)

Type: Luxury, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Sport (SC) (Pwr 3300, 12dp), Tires: 4 Solid Tires (12dp), Crew: Driver (no equip) & Gunner (no equip), Weaponry VMG (20/incen) in turret (2D area, burn 2/1), 2 linked MFRP front (1Dx6, burst) Weighted Accessories: IFE, Unweighted Accessories: HD brakes, HDHTM, Dischargers: 10: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 foam (2T, 2U, 1R 1L) Defenses: n/a; Wheel Armor: 40 total = 2x10 pt WG rear, 2x10 pt WH front, Component Armor:  Power Plant = 10 pts FP over 6 spaces, Driver = 10 pts FP over 2 spaces, Cargo: No space, no weight; Vehicle Armor: 92 pts Composite Armor (19 Metal/73 Plastic): F(4/13) B(4/13) R(4/16) L(4/16) T(1/10) U(2/5); HC: 3, Acc. 10 (HDHTM 20),  Top Speed 120 (80), Cruising: 72, DM: 1, Hit Mod: 1, Weight: 6600 lbs. Max 6600, Cost: $24,960.00
  • Option - remove gunner, slope the armor, modify composite to 67 pts (29 Metal/38 plastic): F(6/6) B(5/6) R(7/8) L(7/8) T(2/5) U(2/5); $24,981.00

Design Notes - Updated from this obsolete 2037 design:
Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Thundercat PP, 4 PR Tires, Driver & Gunner; VMG (20/HD-incen) in turret, 2 linked MFRPs front, 125 pts Plastic Armor: F 30 B 25 R 20 L 20 T 15 U 15; HC: 3, Acc. 10, 6600 lbs., $24,650.00
It was obsolete because of the ammo (and, in a sense, because of the unnecessary T-cat engine).  This was a design challenge but I think I managed it (with the help of the MADHAT excel sheet - that little tool makes this whole blog viable).  I'm not sure if I need the gunner, hence the option.

In recent days, I've realized that HD brakes are more important than my laser array stuff and I'm giving primacy to that now.

Name Notes - See the original; it's good.

Havi 2065 - Div25 Luxury (Update)

Type: Luxury, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Large (SC) (Pwr 2200, 10dp),  Tires: 4 Solids (12dp), Crew: Driver (no equip) Weaponry VMG (20/reg) in turret (2D area), 2 linked RL (10/AP) front (2D+2, no burst), HDFOJ (10/reg) back (1D-2, fire mod: 3/2), Weighted Accessories: IFE, Unweighted Accessories: HRSWC (to RLs), [1 total link], Dischargers: 10 total: 4 oil (FBRL) 3 smoke (1T, 1R 1L), 3 foam (1T 2U) Defenses: 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); Wheel Armor: 40 total = 2x10 pt WG rear, 2x10 pt WH front, Component Armor:  Power Plant = 9 pts LRFP over 5 spaces, Driver = 9 pts LRFP over 2 spaces, Cargo: No space, 1.4 lbs; Vehicle Armor: 153 pts sloped Composite (2 LR Metal/151 FP Plastic): F(0/30) B(0/30) R(0/35) L(0/35) T(0/16) U(2/5); HC: 3, Acc. 5,  Top Speed 90 (75/120), Cruising: 54, DM: 1, Hit Mod: 0, Weight: 6598.6 lbs. Max 6600, Cost: $24,982.50

Design Notes -This is an update of this 2037 design:
Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Super PP, 4 Solid Tires, Driver, VMG in turret, 2 linked RL front, HDSS back, HDFOJ back, HRTC, 170 pts Plastic Armor: F 40 B 30 R 30 L 30 T 20 U 20;  HC: 3, Acc. 5, 6590 lbs. (max 6600), $25,000.00

Back in the day, if I was $1000 over in a weight class, instead of tweaking the design, I just added a Hi-Res computer and accepted going up a class.  The options were seriously limited.  In any case, this design is seriously flawed, as seen by the mixing of weapons (which I kept in this upgrade, given the arbitrary rules I set for myself), as well as the combo of a HDSS with a HDFOJ (because FOJs create smoke clouds automatically!).   I also left off 1 pt armor to keep it under 25K.

In the update I took out the HDSS because it's unnecessary given the HDFOJ (which I did keep).  I used the found space for component armor and IFE (not enough space for sloping).  In trying to keep the Div25 price, I reduced the HRTC to a HRSWC (those stupid rocket launchers), and I needed to eschew my normal laser-reactive web defense system.

Name Notes -  It's nonsense; see the original.

Max 6600, Cost: $24,992.50
Design Notes - This was in my draft pile dated Oct 8, 2009.  The original form of the car is now listed as an option (you can tell it's from a few years ago because back then I was giving the crew personal weapons and I didn't use metal armor much nor all 10 possible dischargers).

Anyway, I haven't made as many sedans as I should and I guess I should look at them as "Luxury light" - i.e. same design as a luxury but without armor sloping.  As far as I can tell, that's the biggest loss.  And to test that I made the second option... which gave me 3 extra spaces, actually.  So I sloped the armor, added a mag to the BC, and added some armor.  Lost the "weight class" though.

Name Notes -Part of the Galaxy series but I'm moving away from moons for now and using Constellations. Andromeda is a very famous, and naturally ancient, constellation.

Aegaeon 2057 - Div20 Midsized (Galaxy, Updated)

Midsized, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., Super PP (PC & SC), 4 Solid Tires, Driver (no equip); RL (10/reg) in turret, MD (10/reg) back, ramplate, SWC, HDHTM & overdrive (linked), safety seat, 4 oil dischargers (FBRL) 6 smoke dischargers (2T, 2U, 1R 1L): linked to 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); 1 total link, 39 pts total for WG/WH, 9 pts LRFP CA around driver, 186 pts Plastic Armor: F 50 (ram) B 33 R 35 L 35 T 18 U 15; HC 3, Acc. 10 (HDHTM 20/Overdrive 5), Top 122.5 (80/142.5), Pwr 2990, 5758.6 lbs., $20,791.00

How to reduce to div20:
  • Option 1- dischargers are now 9 foam, remove overdrive, CA is LR not LRFP, add 1 pt WG/WH: 5757.6 lbs, $20,000 even
  • Option 2- like original; add HD brakes, armor is 71 pts composite (29 LR Metal/42 Plastic): F 8/8 (ram), B 6/5 L 7/5 R 7/5 T 1/4 U 0/15, 5758.6 lbs, $19,683
  • Div25 Laser Option - Midsized, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., Super PP (PC & SC), 4 Solid-Radial Tires (11dp), Driver (no equip); RL (10/reg) in turret, TL in turret, LGL to 10 rockets, MD (10/reg) back, ramplate, HDHTM, safety seat, 4 oil dischargers (FBRL) 6 smoke dischargers (2T, 2U, 1R 1L): linked to 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); 39 pts total for WG/WH, 9 pts LRFP CA around driver, 71 pts composite (29 LR Metal/42 Plastic): F 8/8 (ram), B 6/3 L 6/3 R 6/3 T 0/15 U 0/11;  HC 4, Acc. 10 (HDHTM 20), Top 122.5 (80), Pwr 2990, 5756.6 lbs., $24,767.00

Design Notes -  This is an update of this original:
Midsized, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., Large PP, 4 Solid Tires, Driver (no equip); RL (20/reg) in turret, MD (10/reg) back, ramplate, FE, HRTC, 218 pts sloped Plastic Armor: F 50 (ram) B 40 R 40 L 40 T 28 U 20; HC 3, Acc. 5, Top 90, Pwr 2000, 5759 lbs., $19,338.00

The original design was terrible.  It was div20 because, without the advanced tools available today, I didn't know what to do to make $15,338 into div15... And of course, the freakin' ramplate. I looooooved ramplates.

So the main entry is an attempt to keep the same basic design with the (a) ramplate, (b) turreted RL, (c) MD; but in order to substantiate the ramplate, I need more acceleration.  And while there may be not enough room for rollcages, I think a safety seat is a general must for ram-cars, and possibly every car.

Name Notes - Aegaeon is the most recently discovered moon of Saturn, and is a monster from Greek mythology ("one of the hecatonchires", see here).

Slice 2057 - Div20 Luxury (Updated)

Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., 4 FP Steelbelted PR Tires (11dp), Large PP (PC & SC), Driver & Gunner; ATG (10/APFSDS) front, 2 MG (20/reg) in turret, MML (10/smoke) back, 2 TC, 10 dischargers: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L): smoke linked to 5 laser reactive webs (F, B, R, L, T; covering tires of those sides as well) and 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); 5 total links, 34 pts total for Wheelguards/Wheelhubs (you choose where), 9 pts LRFP Component Armor each around (a) PP and (b) driver, 150 pts sloped plastic Armor: F30 B30 R30 L30 T15 U15HC 3, Acc. 5, Top Speed 92.5, Pwr 2300, 6599.6 lbs. (max 6600), $24,927.50

Design Notes - This is an update of this car:
Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., 4 SD Tires, Super PP, Driver; ATG (10/reg) front, 2 linked HR front, RL (10/reg) back, 2 MG (20/reg) in turret, bumper trigger front, TC, 150 pts plastic Armor: F30 B30 R30 L30 T15 U15; HC 3, Acc. 5, 6600 lbs., $19,600

Well, I incorporated a suggestion from an ADQ to use FP steelbelted PR tires instead of solids because they weigh the same, have 1 less DP, but are FP, and that's a big advantage in the FOJ areana.

To be honest, I picked up a tip to have 1 piece of Metal armor on the bottom for that reason as well (I haven't yet incorporated that).

Another trick in this car is a MML with smoke loads - which according to the UACFH will create a line of 2 1"x½" smoke counters, making this a cheap gas streamer (and better than a standard SS).

I took out the HRs (because, why?) and the RL (same reason) - it was just my teenage overkill, and back then, what else would you do with 4 extra spaces?   In modern design, I reduced the spaces further with a Large PP, and filled up the 5 with (a) gunner, (b) sloped armor, (c) CA.

Unfortunately, I don't see how to get this car down to div20 and maintain the necessary upgrades while also keeping weapon system integrity.

Havi 2037 - Div25 Luxury

Updated here.
Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Super PP, 4 Solid Tires, Driver, VMG in turret, 2 linked RL front, HDSS back, HDFOJ back, HRTC, 170 pts Plastic Armor: F 40 B 30 R 30 L 30 T 20 U 20;  HC: 3, Acc. 5, 6590 lbs. (max 6600), $25,000.00

Design Notes - This is another 2037 design that I neglected to write-up back in 2057.  I wondered why, but when searching the blog for the price (the best way to find due to my obsessive name-changing), I saw an entry under "Quooze," called the "Quooze-Havi."  Basically, as far as I can reconstruct, I felt that the two car designs were enough alike because of the linked RLs with a Vulcan in the turret.  This is not crazy.  But for the sake of thoroughness, I will list the original car design with the original scan.

Name Notes - This is the original name.  No idea what it means.

Antiope 2037 - Div25 Luxury (Galaxy) (Obsolete)

Updated here.
Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Thundercat PP, 4 PR Tires, Driver & Gunner; VMG (20/HD-incen) in turret, 2 linked MFRPs front, 125 pts Plastic Armor: F 30 B 25 R 20 L 20 T 15 U 15; HC: 3, Acc. 10, 6600 lbs., $24,650.00

Design Notes - This is another of the original 2037 designs that I didn't upload back in 2057.  Possibly because of the feshtunkener T-cat engine - which was the ONLY option back in the day to get 10 acceleration at max. weight for a luxury - and because of the obsolete VMG ammo.  As far as I know, you can't mix High Density with Incendiary ammo (even though the military does that in the real world... another thing to revisit).

Name Notes - Original name from 2037: "Fastenweird," which was a companion design (because of the T-cat engine) to the original "Fastenpurty" (renamed Grapeshot).

The new name, Galaxy themed, is from a double asteroid, as it says in the Wiki:
"90 Antiope (/ænˈt.əp/ an-TY-ə-pee) is a double asteroid in the outer asteroid belt. It was discovered on October 1, 1866, by Robert Luther. In 2000 it was found to consist of two almost-equally-sized bodies orbiting each other. ... The number in 90 Antiope's name denotes that it was the 90th asteroid to be discovered. Its proper name comes from Greek mythology, though it is disputed as to whether this is Antiope the Amazon or Antiope the mother of Amphion and Zethus."
My blog is both fun and educational!

Barbeque 2063 - Div25 Luxury (Update)

Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Large PP (SC) (10dp), 4 FP-Steelbelted-PR Tires (11dp), Driver (FP Suit), VMG (20/incen) in turret, 3xHDFOJ (10/reg) right, left, back, all linked; IFE, SWC, safety seat, 10 dischargers: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L): smoke linked to 5 laser reactive webs (F, B, R, L, T; covering tires of those sides as well) and 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); 6 total links, 38 pts total for Wheelguards/Wheelhubs (you choose where), 59 pts Composite Armor (34 LR Metal/25 Plastic): F 8/0 B 8/0 R 8/0 L 8/0 T 0/20 U 2/5; HC: 3, Acc. 5, Top Speed 90, Pwr 2200, 6600 lbs. (max 6600), $24,850.00

FOJ Option - Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Large PP (SC) (10dp), 4 FP-Steelbelted-PR Tires (11dp), Driver (no eqip), VMG (20/incen) in turret, HDFOJ (10/reg) back, FOJ (25/reg) right, FOJ (25/reg) left, all 3 linked; IFE, HRSWC, safety seat, 10 dischargers: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L): smoke linked to 1 laser reactive web (Top); 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); 2 total links, 39 pts total for Wheelguards/Wheelhubs (you choose where), 9 pts LRFP Component Armor each around (a) PP [5 spaces] and (b) driver [2 sp.], no cargo space,  57 pts Composite Armor (34 LR Metal/25 Plastic): F 8/0 B 8/0 R 8/0 L 8/0 T 0/18 U 2/5; HC: 3, Acc. 5, Top Speed 90, Pwr 2200, 6600 lbs. (max 6600), $24,957.50

Design Notes -This is an update of this: Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy Sus., Super PP, driver, 4 SD tires, VMG in turret, 3 linked HDFOJ (B,R,L); 218 pts. Armor: F50 R40 L40 B45 T25 U18; Acc. 5, HC 3; 6600 lbs., $22,310

The top version is a faithful reconstruction of the 2037 design - basically shrinking the Super PP to a Large (who the heck uses the Super anymore) - and using the space and weight for an IFE.  The second version is better because I don't think 3 HDFOJs are needed, especially from the sides.  By shrinking the HDFOJs, I can get component armor.  But to get the price under 25 I needed to reduce some things, in this case it was the laser-web system to just the top.

I'm also using an idea from ADQ v7n1 which stated:
"If the Brotherhood only feels safe driving on 18-point tires, then the rest of us have to take a hard look at solids or better for our vehicles. A good alternative is the steel-belted, fireproof PR tire. This wonder of technology weighs the same as a solid, has the same DP, costs only $100 more and won't catch fire."
This is enough of a fun idea and I think I can use it for these fire based cars. Especially since they nerfed the spike resistance of solids.

Also on the fire kick, I thought I could turn the 218 pts of plastic into an effective metal armor configuration.  Metal only really works when you have enough of it, and 8 is a minimum effective thickness for me.

Armageddon II 2037 - Div25 Van

Van, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Super PP, 6 PR Tires, Driver, 3 HRs in 3sp. turret, 3x3sp rocket magazines: 12 HR total (no links for HRs, all fire simultaneously); ITL in turret, LGL to 12 rockets, HDOJ left, HDOJ right, link to HDOJ, SWC, 121 pts Plastic Armor: F 30 B 20 R 20 L 20 T 25 U 4; HC: 2, Acc. 5, 7189 lbs., $23,930.00

Design Notes - I originally tried writing this up in 2007 here, but I think the earlier one wasn't accurate.  There's also another design with this name, which will go up soon.  I also think I need to update this, especially vis-a-vis the links on the HRs.

Antiped B2 - Div25 RPG Van (Obsolete)

Updated here.
Van, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Super PP, 4 PR-Radials tires back, 2 PR tires front, Driver, 3 FG with mag (40 each) in 3sp turret, 2 linked GL (10/tear gas) front, GL (10/tear gas) right, left, back; 7 total links, 10 pt WG individually on 6 wheels, 10 pt WH individually on all 6 wheels, 70 pts Plastic Armor: F 20 B 16 R 12 L 12 T 10 U 0; HC: 2, Acc. 5, 7195 lbs,.$25,000.00

Design Notes - When I was putting together the 2037 designs way back in 2057, I seem to have missed this one (or did so purposefully, I can imagine why).  This is another "anti-pedestrian" car, see the other monstrosities in this category here, and the discussion in the first entry here.

So, I seriously thought that I'd need to have a crew of 1 to shoot 5 grenade launchers, willy-nilly.  70 pts of armor... even for a van that's sad.

Name Notes - As mentioned in many 2037 entries, I was terrible with names - often choosing after the primary attribute of the car.  The original name was "Anteeped BII."

Update, 2016 Oct 7: I'm trying to update this and I see that the numbers are off; even with the obsolete touches, this appears to be 1 space too far and 25 lbs under. In any case, I'm going to update this, for whatever reason.

Convoy 1 - Div25 Midsized

Midsized, Xhvy Ch., Hvy Sus., Large PP, 4 Solid-Radial Tires, driver, Laser in turret, SD back (10/reg), laser battery, SWC, 7 Oil/Smoke Dischargers, 10 pt WH rear, 10 pt WG on all (60 pts total), 9 pts. LRFP CA each around PP and Driver, BA for driver, 181 pts Armor: F40 B40 R33 L33 T20 U15; Acc. 5, Top 90, HC 4, 5756.6 lbs (5760 max), $24,983
  • Arena Option - Remove SD & Laser battery, add armor sloping; add 22 pts armor (203 total); 5757.6 lbs., $24,860.30

Design Notes - This was in my draft pile dated Sept 19, 2010, and designed for the Convoy adventure but it's a credible Div 25. So if this is the first vehicle, then there's $55,017 left of the $80,000 budget.

Linus - Div25 Luxury (Galaxy)

Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy Sus., Large PP (SC) (10dp), 4 Solid Tires (12dp), Driver (no equip) & Gunner (no equip); RR (10/reg) in turret, 2 linked RR (10/reg) front, FCE (10/back), smart link, safety seat, 2 TC, HTM, 10 dischargers: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L): smoke linked to 5 laser reactive webs (F, B, R, L, T; covering tires of those sides as well) and 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); 1 total link, 39 pts total for Wheelguards/Wheelhubs (you choose where), 9 pts LRFP Component Armor each around (a) PP and (b) driver, 158 pts Plastic Armor: F 30 B 30 R 32 L 32 T 19 U 15; HC: 3, Acc. 5 (HTM 10) Top Speed 90 (67.5) Pwr 2200, 6599.6 lbs. (max 6600), $24,937.50
Option -  sloping armor takes 2 spaces, so to slope armor:
  • remove gunner, add 15 pts armor: $25,583.50
  • remove FCE, add 10 pts armor: $24,373.50
  • remove component armor, remove 1 pt WG/WH, add 14 pts armor: $24,764.00
  • remove 1 forward RR, add 35 pts armor: $24,123.50
Div 20 Option - Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy Sus., Large PP (SC) (10dp), 4 Solid Tires (12dp), Driver (no equip) & Gunner (no equip); RR (10/reg) in turret, 2 linked RR (10/reg) front, OJ (25/back), smart link, 10 foam/sand dischargers: linked to 4 bumper triggers (also linked to that side's weapons); 1 total link, 36 pts total for Wheelguards/Wheelhubs (you choose where), 10 pts reg. Component Armor each around (a) PP and (b) driver, 132 pts Composite Armor (8 LR Metal/124 Plastic): F 1/25 B 1/25 R 1/30 L 1/30 T 2/8 U 2/6; HC: 3, Acc. 5, Top Speed 90, Pwr 2200, 6599 lbs. (max 6600), $19,980.00

Design Notes - This is in my files, dated Oct 5, 2010. I tried hard to get this to div20 for the option.  To do so, I compromised on dischargers and defense, and needed to add a few points of metal armor

Name Notes - This is an interesting this, Linus is a moon of an asteroid! According to the Wiki: "(22) Kalliope I Linus is an asteroid moon that orbits the large M-type asteroid 22 Kalliope. It was discovered on August 29, 2001, by astronomers Jean-Luc Margot and Michael E. Brown"   I had no idea that asteroids can have moons.  Whoa.

Orfice 2037 - Div25 Luxury

Updated here.
Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., Super PP, 4 Solid Tires, Driver; RL with mag in turret, 2 linked RR front, OJ back, PS right, PS left, HRTC, 181 pts Plastic Armor: F 40 B 30 R 30 L 30 T 26 U 25; HC: 3, Acc. 5, 6600 lbs. (max 6600), $24,220.00

  • Econorfice Option -RRs to RLs, PSs to SSs, HRTC to TC, add 19 pts armor, 6590 lbs, $20,000
  • Arielfrice Option - remove HCTC, convert armor to FP, add universal mount, $24,840

Design Notes -Why was I putting so much armor on the tops and bottom?  It's not like I learned from experience to do that.  And why would opponents take out the turreted RL when there's twin RRs a-blazing out front.  They'd much prefer I wham 'em with the stupid RL.

Name Notes -Oh, I don't know.  Teenage humor, likely.  I do like how the options could spin on the name.

Cordelia 2037 - Div25 Luxury (Galaxy)

Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., Super PP, 4 Solid Tires, Driver & Gunner, VMG in turret, 2 linked MG front, 2 linked MG back, OJ back, 2 TC, 1 cargo space, 5 lbs, 157 pts armor: F35 B30 R30 L30 T17 U15; HC: 3, Acc. 5, 6595 lbs. (max 6600), $23,740.00

Design Notes -25 thousand and where's the money go?  I was joking about the cargo space but that was in the original write-up.

Name Notes - This was unnamed, so like the others of this period, I'm using the moons of Uranus; Cordelia is from Shakespeare's King Lear.
