Design Notes - An update of this 2037 Original:
Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., Super PP (12dp), 4 PR Tires (9dp), Driver (no equip); 2 HR (8/AP) in turret with 2 3sp rocket magazines, ITL in turret, LGL to the 8 HRs, RL (10/reg) front, SD (10/explosive), TC, (LGL total = $2200), 193 pts Plastic Armor: F 40 B 35 R 40 L 40 T 23 U 15; HC: 3, Acc. 5, Top Speed 100, Pwr 2600, 6645 lbs. (max 6600), $21,810.00

Well, I wanted to keep this a Div20, and the only way to do that was all metal.  I'm not sure this is strong enough for div20.

Name Notes - A moon of Jupiter. According to the Wiki: "It was discovered by a team of astronomers from the University of Hawaii led by Scott S. Sheppard in 2000 .... It was named in October 2002 after Megaclite, mother by Zeus (Jupiter) of Thebe and Locrus (although both of these are assigned a different mother by other authors)."

Aegaeon 2057 - Div20 Midsized (Galaxy, Updated)

Midsized, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., Super PP (PC & SC), 4 Solid Tires, Driver (no equip); RL (10/reg) in turret, MD (10/reg) back, ramplate, SWC, HDHTM & overdrive (linked), safety seat, 4 oil dischargers (FBRL) 6 smoke dischargers (2T, 2U, 1R 1L): linked to 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); 1 total link, 39 pts total for WG/WH, 9 pts LRFP CA around driver, 186 pts Plastic Armor: F 50 (ram) B 33 R 35 L 35 T 18 U 15; HC 3, Acc. 10 (HDHTM 20/Overdrive 5), Top 122.5 (80/142.5), Pwr 2990, 5758.6 lbs., $20,791.00

How to reduce to div20:
  • Option 1- dischargers are now 9 foam, remove overdrive, CA is LR not LRFP, add 1 pt WG/WH: 5757.6 lbs, $20,000 even
  • Option 2- like original; add HD brakes, armor is 71 pts composite (29 LR Metal/42 Plastic): F 8/8 (ram), B 6/5 L 7/5 R 7/5 T 1/4 U 0/15, 5758.6 lbs, $19,683
  • Div25 Laser Option - Midsized, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., Super PP (PC & SC), 4 Solid-Radial Tires (11dp), Driver (no equip); RL (10/reg) in turret, TL in turret, LGL to 10 rockets, MD (10/reg) back, ramplate, HDHTM, safety seat, 4 oil dischargers (FBRL) 6 smoke dischargers (2T, 2U, 1R 1L): linked to 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); 39 pts total for WG/WH, 9 pts LRFP CA around driver, 71 pts composite (29 LR Metal/42 Plastic): F 8/8 (ram), B 6/3 L 6/3 R 6/3 T 0/15 U 0/11;  HC 4, Acc. 10 (HDHTM 20), Top 122.5 (80), Pwr 2990, 5756.6 lbs., $24,767.00

Design Notes -  This is an update of this original:
Midsized, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., Large PP, 4 Solid Tires, Driver (no equip); RL (20/reg) in turret, MD (10/reg) back, ramplate, FE, HRTC, 218 pts sloped Plastic Armor: F 50 (ram) B 40 R 40 L 40 T 28 U 20; HC 3, Acc. 5, Top 90, Pwr 2000, 5759 lbs., $19,338.00

The original design was terrible.  It was div20 because, without the advanced tools available today, I didn't know what to do to make $15,338 into div15... And of course, the freakin' ramplate. I looooooved ramplates.

So the main entry is an attempt to keep the same basic design with the (a) ramplate, (b) turreted RL, (c) MD; but in order to substantiate the ramplate, I need more acceleration.  And while there may be not enough room for rollcages, I think a safety seat is a general must for ram-cars, and possibly every car.

Name Notes - Aegaeon is the most recently discovered moon of Saturn, and is a monster from Greek mythology ("one of the hecatonchires", see here).

Slice 2057 - Div20 Luxury (Updated)

Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., 4 FP Steelbelted PR Tires (11dp), Large PP (PC & SC), Driver & Gunner; ATG (10/APFSDS) front, 2 MG (20/reg) in turret, MML (10/smoke) back, 2 TC, 10 dischargers: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L): smoke linked to 5 laser reactive webs (F, B, R, L, T; covering tires of those sides as well) and 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); 5 total links, 34 pts total for Wheelguards/Wheelhubs (you choose where), 9 pts LRFP Component Armor each around (a) PP and (b) driver, 150 pts sloped plastic Armor: F30 B30 R30 L30 T15 U15HC 3, Acc. 5, Top Speed 92.5, Pwr 2300, 6599.6 lbs. (max 6600), $24,927.50

Design Notes - This is an update of this car:
Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy. Sus., 4 SD Tires, Super PP, Driver; ATG (10/reg) front, 2 linked HR front, RL (10/reg) back, 2 MG (20/reg) in turret, bumper trigger front, TC, 150 pts plastic Armor: F30 B30 R30 L30 T15 U15; HC 3, Acc. 5, 6600 lbs., $19,600

Well, I incorporated a suggestion from an ADQ to use FP steelbelted PR tires instead of solids because they weigh the same, have 1 less DP, but are FP, and that's a big advantage in the FOJ areana.

To be honest, I picked up a tip to have 1 piece of Metal armor on the bottom for that reason as well (I haven't yet incorporated that).

Another trick in this car is a MML with smoke loads - which according to the UACFH will create a line of 2 1"x½" smoke counters, making this a cheap gas streamer (and better than a standard SS).

I took out the HRs (because, why?) and the RL (same reason) - it was just my teenage overkill, and back then, what else would you do with 4 extra spaces?   In modern design, I reduced the spaces further with a Large PP, and filled up the 5 with (a) gunner, (b) sloped armor, (c) CA.

Unfortunately, I don't see how to get this car down to div20 and maintain the necessary upgrades while also keeping weapon system integrity.

Armydillo 2037 - Div20 Van (Obsolete)

Updated here.
Type: Van, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Super Tires: 4 PR back, 2 PR-Radials front, Crew: Driver & Gunner & 3 passengers;  Weaponry: 3 MML (10/reg) in 3 sp. turret, PGS with mag (4/reg) back, Unweighted Accessories: 2 SWCs, Cargo: 6 spaces, 0 lbs. 160 pts Plastic Armor: F 40 B 30 R 30 L 30 T 15 U 15; HC: 3 (OBSOLETE), Acc. 5, Weight: 7200 lbs., Cost: $19,700.00

Design Notes -I think I wanted to have passengers, a low price, heavier armor van.  It's obsolete because of the PR-Radial problem.

Name Notes - Oy, these terrible teenage names.  And it's a name too close to Armadillo (an obsolete rules-breaking pickup).  I assume I named this because of the relatively heavy armor for a Van.

Convoy 4 Alternate, Interceptor - RPG Midsized

Type: Midsized, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Sport (Pwr 3000, 12dp), Tires: 4 Solid Tires (12dp), Crew: Driver (alt. enc. BA/ABV, GL with 5 FO loads, hvy pstl), Weaponry:  VMG (20/incen) in turret (2D area, fire mod 2/1), FOJ (25/reg) back (1D-2, fire mod: 3/2),  Dischargers: 10 dischargers: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L), Wheel Armor: 2x10 pt WG rear, 4x10 pt WH all wheels, Component Armor:  Power Plant = 9 pts LRFP over 5 spaces, Driver = 9 pts LRFP over 2 spaces, Weighted Accessories: IFE, Unweighted Accessories: SWC, HDHTM Cargo: None 182 pts Plastic Armor: F 34 B 34 R 40 L 40 T 18 U 16; HC: 3 (4 over 60), Acc. 10 (HDHTM 20) Top Speed 122.5 (80), Cruising: 73.5 Weight: 5760 lbs. Max 5760, Cost: $22,887.00

  • Note: Price & Weight of personal equipment: $1250, 34 lbs

Design Notes - This was in my draft pile dated Aug 8, 2007. It's part of the Convoy design process as the "Interceptor" (it's original name).  The interceptor is meant to zip in and out of the convoy cars & truck to provide help when needed.  I like the primary interceptor here, as it's cheaper and both speedy and offensive.  FOJs don't work with interceptors who may need to be in front of the main car!

Titan III - RPG Pickup (Galaxy)

Type: Pickup 2 space extended cab, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: OR, Engine: Sport PP (Extra Cells) (Pwr 3000, 14dp), Tires: 6 OR Solid Tires (12dp), Crew: Driver (no equip) & 2 passengers (in cargo space); Weaponry:  Rocket Launcher with mag in UM turret, mag switch, 10 reg (2D), 10 AP (2D+2, no burst), Infrared Targ. Laser in turret, LGL to 20 rockets,   Weighted Accessories:  active suspension, IFE, 3 safety seats (2 in cargo), Unweighted Accessories:  vehicular computer, voice control software, HD-antilock brakes, HTM & Overdrive (linked), no-paint tinted windshield, [6 total links], Dischargers: 10 total: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L), Defenses: Styx Defensive System*Wheel Armor: 2x10 pt WG rear, 2x10 pt WH front, Component Armor:  9 pts LRFP each for (a) PP (7 sp), (b) Driver (2 sp), (c)  Each passenger (2x1 each, in cargo), Cargo: 3 sp., 42.2 lbs, [4 cargo sp., for passengers & their CA]; Vehicle Armor: 147 pts Composite (2 Metal/145  Plastic): F(0/30) B(0/30) R(0/30) L(0/30) T(0/18) U(2/7);
HC: 2 (2 OR), Acc. 5 (HTM 10/Overdrive 2.5), Top Speed 100 (75/120), Cruising: 60, Weight: 7457.8 lbs. (without 300 lbs for passengers & 42.2 lbs for cargo) Max 7800, Cost: $59,336.50

Design Notes - A modification of this RPG station wagon, and this SUV (Camper). The camper allowed more room, but the weight ballooned because of the added armor load, so that basically just allowed me to slope the armor. Not a bad trade-off, per se, and I was able to be loyal to the "SUV" design concept, but why use a pickup without having lots of armor?

This version allowed me to use the armor of the original Station Wagon.  Also, all three Titans have Off-Road suspension because I've been told that is what makes an "SUV."

Name Notes - See original.

Titan I - RPG OR Station Wagon (Galaxy)

Type: Station Wagon; Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: OR, Engine: Large PP (Extra Cells, PC & SC) (Pwr 2300, 12dp),  Tires: 4 OR Solids (12dp), Crew: Driver (no equip) & 2 passengers (in cargo space); Weaponry: RR (20=10 HEAT/10 HESH, mag switch) in UM turret, Weighted Accessories: IFE, 3 safety seats, Unweighted Acces.: vehicular computer, voice control software, HD-antilock brakes, HTM, Overdrive (linked), no-paint tinted windshield, [6 total links]; Dischargers: 10 total: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L): Defenses: Styx Defensive System*Wheel Armor: 40 pts total: 2x10 WG rear,  2x10 WH front; Component Armor: 9 pts LRFP pts each around (a) PP [6 spaces] (b) driver [2 sp.], (c) each passenger [1 space each - these in cargo]; Vehicle Armor: 147 pts Composite (2 Metal/145 Plastic): F(0/30) B(0/30) R(0/30) L(0/30) T(0/20) U (2/5); Cargo: 3 sp., 57 lbs; HC: 2 (3 OR), Acc. 5 (HTM 10/Overdrive 2.5), Top Speed: 92.5 (67.5/112.5), Weight: 6243 lbs. (without passengers & cargo, max 6600), Cost: $33,549.00

* Styx Defensive System = 6 Smoke Dischargers linked to 5 laser reactive webs (F, B, R, L, T; covering tires of those sides as well) & 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons)
  • VMG Option - replace RR & mag & mag switch with VMG (20/incendiary) in turret, add PS (25/reg) under as part of the Styx Laser Paint Array, remove 5 pts Plastic vehicle armor, remove 1 pt WH armor; no extra cargo weight outside of passengers; 6299 lbs. unloaded, $34,289

  • MG Option 1 -as VMG option but in turret are 2 MGs: 1 with (20/incen) & 1 with (20/explosive); $34,989

  • MG Option 2 - replace RR system (as in VMG option) with 2 MGs, both with (20/incen); remove 3 pts vehicle armor; only 7 lbs for cargo; 6293 lbs unloaded, $34,829

  • RL Option - replace RR system (see above) with RL (10/reg) & extra mag (10/AP), mag switch, ITL in turret, LGL to 20 rockets; 87 lbs for cargo; $39,464

  • Laser Option - replace RR system with Pulsed Laser in turret, add Laser Battery, remove 13 pts plastic armor, 2 lbs for cargo above passengers; 6298 lbs unloaded, $43,189
Design Notes - I had this in my draft pile as another way to design the family car. In this one, I decided to add extra-power cells to increase range.  However, the rules are so confusing as to what the extra cells do, I have no idea how to figure this out, sorry.

Because of those extra cells, I was kinda stuck for weapon systems, especially if I needed 300+ lbs for the expected passengers and cargo.  The main option was to preserve weight at the expense of space, i.e. to get 20 shots (a minimum, no, for a long car trip) I'd need the extra mag. This allowed me to use the mag switch and the fun HEAT/HESH switch for the possible metal encounters on the road; something I couldn't do with the steadfast Vulcan, given it's weight.

I did want to see what the other 2 space weapons would do, so I've included the other options.

Name Notes  - I'm surprised I haven't used this name yet!  Titan is the coolest moon in our solar system, no offense to Earth's own:

The atmosphere of Titan is largely composed of nitrogen; minor components lead to the formation of methane and ethane clouds and nitrogen-rich organic smog. The climate—including wind and rain—creates surface features similar to those of Earth, such as dunes, rivers, lakes and seas (probably of liquid methane and ethane), and deltas, and is dominated by seasonal weather patterns as on Earth. With its liquids (both surface and subsurface) and robust nitrogen atmosphere, Titan's methane cycle is viewed as an analogy to Earth's water cycle, although at a much lower temperature. [from the Wiki]
I'm naming this Titan I because I think I'll try to make a pickup (SUV) version of this too.

Design Notes - Gerard (see below) was the strongest member of the family so I wanted a very strong vehicle, hence a pickup with metal armor and a roll-cage.  I put this at Div50 because the owner can customize how to drop $173 (maybe no bumper triggers? 2 Laser webs?)

Name Notes - Part of the Amber series of cars, named after the most moral and strongest Prince of Amber, and half-brother of Corwin.

Dysnomia - Div15 Heavy Cycle (Galaxy)

Heavy Cycle (Carbon-Aluminum), Cycle Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Medium Cycle PP (PC & SC) (3dp), 2 Radial-PR Tires (8dp), Cyclist (blended BA); 2 linked HMG (10/reg) front, SWC, HD-antilock brakes, HDHTM & Overdrive (linked), 2 total links, 9 pts LRFP Component Armor around PP [1 spaces] and 3 pts LRFP CA around HMGs [2 sp.]; 21 pts sloped Plastic Armor: F 11 B 10; HC: 3, Acc. 10 (HDHTM 20/Overdrive 5), Top Speed 122.5 (80/142.5), Pwr 690, 1299 lbs. • HD Option - Heavy Cycle (Streamlined/Carbon-Aluminum), Cycle Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Small Cycle PP (PC & SC) (2dp), 2 PR Tires (9dp), Cyclist (blended BA); 2 linked HMG (10/HD) front, SWC, HD-antilock brakes, HTM & Overdrive (linked), 2 total links; 20 pts sloped Plastic Armor: F 10 B 10; HC: 2, Acc. 5 (HTM 10/Overdrive 2.5), Top Speed 102.5 (75/122.5), Pwr 506, 1300 lbs. (max 1300), $14,464.00

  • HD Hi-Res Option - Heavy Cycle (Streamlined/Carbon-Aluminum), Cycle Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Small Cycle PP (PC & SC) (2dp), 2 PR Tires (9dp), Cyclist (blended BA); 2 linked HMG (10/HD) front, HRSWC, HTM, 1 total link; 20 pts sloped Plastic Armor: F 10 B 10; HC: 2, Acc. 5 (HTM 10), Top Speed 102.5 (75), Pwr 506, 1300 lbs. (max 1300), $14,814.00

Design Notes -This was in my draft pile dated either Oct 11, 2006 or Sept 17, 2010.  The concept was to get linked HMGs on a cycle.  My first design got messed up because I didn't remember that you couldn't modify the cycle chassis (and I did so with MADHAT and it got much cooler than it deserved to be).  A heavy cycle was thus a must to allow the most weight.

Even then, as anyone who has designed with HMGs knows, those things are *heavy* and I could almost not fit anything on the cycle, even with a C/A frame.

Given the targeting rules for cyclists, I thought the BA was worth 1 pt of vehicle armor.

Name Notes - Dysnomia is the moon of Eris: "the only known moon of the dwarf planet Eris (the most massive known dwarf planet in the Solar System). It was discovered in 2005 by Mike Brown and the laser guide star adaptive optics team at the W. M. Keck Observatory, ... officially named Dysnomia (from the Ancient Greek word Δυσνομία meaning "lawlessness") after the daughter of the Greek goddess Eris."

Zap Gun 2037 - Div45 Luxury

Updated here:
Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Super PP, 4 Solid Tires, Driver; 2 linked Lasers front, 2 linked Lasers back, 2 laser batteries, 105 pts Plastic Armor: F 25 B 20 R 20 L 20 T 5 U 15; HC: 3, Acc. 5, 6600 lbs., $42,900.00.

Design Notes-Well, this was inevitable, no?  Lasers lasers lasers.  Back in 2037 we loved, I loved, lasers. Yes, they were heavy, expensive, and left you with no armor, but outside of smoke-screens, the laser was unstoppable.

Name Notes-Original name, slightly modified above, was "Zap-Gunn" and it's one of my really stupid mispellings of the obvious content of the car.

(max 6600), Cost: $24,997.50
Design Notes - This is a modernizing (I don't want to say update because I really like the original) of a combat veteran from 2037:
Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy Sus., Super PP, driver & gunner, 4 SD tires, VMG in turret, PG front, OG rear, 2 ejector seats, 2 SWC to VMG, 165 pts. Armor, F40 R30 L30 B30 T20 U15, Acc. 5, HC 3, 6600 lbs., $19,850
I added just the standard modern doodads to a pretty strong car.

Name Notes - See the original.

Thundethor 2063 - Div30 Cycle (Updated)

Heavy Cycle (Carbon-Aluminum), Heavy Suspension, Super Trike PP (PC & SC) (6dp), 2 FP-Solid-Radial tires (11dp), RL (10/AP) forward, ITL forward + LGL to 10 rounds, cycle windshell, HRSWC, HD-antilock brakes, HDHTM, Overdrive (linked), no-paint windshield, 4 oil/smoke dischargers, smoke linked to 2 laser reactive webs (R, L & covering tires of those sides as well) 3 total links, 18 pts total for Wheelguards/Wheelhubs, 38 pts FP armor: F19 B19; HC: 3 (4 over 60), Acc.15 (HDHTM 30/Overdrive 7.5), Top Speed 185 (122.5/205), Pwr 1380, 1299 lbs. (max 1300), $28,597.00

  • Option 1 -Remove TL & LGL, add 10 pts FP Cycle Windshell armor; $24,247
  • Option 2 -Remove TL & LGL, RL has incendiary loads, remove 5 pts WG/WH; $24,022
  • Option 3 "HD" -Remove TL & LGL, add 1 pts WG/WH, add 8 pts vehicle armor ; $24,259
  • Option 4 "El Cheapo" - Heavy Cycle (Carbon-Aluminum), Heavy Suspension, Super Trike PP (no mods) (6dp), 2 Solid-Radial tires (11dp), RL (10/AP) forward, HRSWC, HDHTM, 4 oil/smoke dischargers, 20 pts total for Wheelguards/Wheelhubs, 54 pts FP armor: F27 B27; HC: 3, Acc.15 (HDHTM 30) Top Speed 170 (112.5) Pwr 1200, 1299 lbs. (max 1300), $15,773.00

Design Notes - This is an update of this 2037 design: Heavy Cycle, Heavy Suspension, Super Trike PP, 2 PRR tires, RL forward, 40 pts armor: F20 B20; HC: 3, Acc. 10, 1300 lbs., $7,030

I think cycles are made for C/A frames, given their generally low armor and near fatal result in any collision or roll (as far as I can tell).  The cheap option was with the recognition that a windshell is kinda overkill once I have the super trike plant.

Thundethor 2037 - Div3Q Cycle

Updated Here.
Heavy Cycle, Heavy Suspension, Super Trike PP, 2 PRR tires, RL forward, 40 pts armor: F20 B20; HC: 3, Acc. 10, 1300 lbs., $7,030

Design Notes - I'd say this is very similar to the Zephyr in that they have PRR tires and a RL, except that was a Medium Cyle, this is Heavy, they have different PP, and seriously how many different weapons can you put on a cycle?

Name Notes - This is the original 2037 name.  Ugh.

Heavy Tank Test 1 (2037, Combat) RPG

Heavy Tank, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Large Truck PP, 2 Heavy Combat Treads (45dp), Driver, 3 gunners, Heavy Tank Gun with magazine (40 shots) in center turret, 2 linked HL front, 4 laser batteries, VMG in front turret, 2 linked AC back, 2 linked RR right, 2 linked RR left, 4 Hi-res TC,  884 pts Plastic Armor: F 250 B 150 R 140 L 140 T 100 U 98; HC: 4, Acc. 5 until 20, 10 after; 40,673 lbs., $243,270

Combat Record:
  • SHOTS: 2 from HTG
  • HITS:  22 to front, 20 to left tread
  • Don't know how it turned out.

Design Notes -I don't know if the rules are still the same for tanks.  I don't know how I decided which ridiculous weapons to use.  Why RR?

Q-Naught 2037 - Div35 Station Wagon (Obsolete)

Updated here:
Station Wagon, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Super PP, 4 PR Tires, Driver, 2 linked HL front, 10 pts of component armor each (OBSOLETE), SWC, 131 pts Plastic Armor: F 30 B 20 R 25 L 25 T 13 U 18; HC: 3, Acc. 5, 6600 lbs., $33,870.00

Design Notes- Another missed 2037 design, likely because it's obsolete (because of the outdated Component Armor).

2065 Note: The numbers are off, because of the component armor error.  Ah well.

Name Notes - I don't understand why I named this "Q" because there's nothing hidden here.  'Naughts are normal for dangerous cars.  Note, based on my handwriting, I may have called this "Qnought" (was that a Q-bert joke?)

Lympite 2037 - Div30 Luxury (Combat)

Updated here:
Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Super PP, 4 PR Tires, Driver; Laser in turret, 2 linked RR with mags front, 2 linked MG back, TC, FE, 127 pts FP Plastic Armor: F 30 B 30 R 20 L 20 T 14 U 13;  HC: 3, Acc. 5, 6600 lbs., $29,680.00 [actually $30,080 oops]

Combat Record:
  • SHOTS: 1 laser
  • HITS: 20 back, 3 hits to each MG, 3 hits to PP, 3 hits to driver
  • I assume I lost

Design Notes - Turns out that I made a 2057 Lympite where I said: "There was an original Lympite, I think, but I don't recall uploading it. Oh well"

Keeutenk 2037 - Div40 Luxury (Combat, Obsolete)

Updated here.
Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Super PP, 4 PR Tires, Driver, 2 linked HL front, 2 linked RL rear, 3 mini-rockets: R, L, B; 80 points component armor (OBSOLETE no space & damage sinks), HRTC, 63 pts Plastic Armor (number in pareth. is effective armor with damage sinks): F 16 (36) B 10 (40) R 15 (25) L 15 (25) T 2 U 5; ; HC: 3, Acc. 5, 6600 lbs., $39,160.00

Combat Record:
  • SHOTS: 1 each for HL
  • HITS: 16 hits to front, 2 hits to HL CA, 10? hits to back, 10 his to back MnR CA
  • I may have won

Design Notes - Oh man. This was a concept car to test out the damage sink for component armor - before they changed the rules of CA to add space, and to outlaw the damage sink usage.  To be honest, I never would have thought of this, the concept came from my friends (I was a good boy).

Name Notes - "Keeutenk" is a stupid adolescent mispelling name for "Q-Tank."

Havi 2037 - Div25 Luxury

Updated here.
Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Super PP, 4 Solid Tires, Driver, VMG in turret, 2 linked RL front, HDSS back, HDFOJ back, HRTC, 170 pts Plastic Armor: F 40 B 30 R 30 L 30 T 20 U 20;  HC: 3, Acc. 5, 6590 lbs. (max 6600), $25,000.00

Design Notes - This is another 2037 design that I neglected to write-up back in 2057.  I wondered why, but when searching the blog for the price (the best way to find due to my obsessive name-changing), I saw an entry under "Quooze," called the "Quooze-Havi."  Basically, as far as I can reconstruct, I felt that the two car designs were enough alike because of the linked RLs with a Vulcan in the turret.  This is not crazy.  But for the sake of thoroughness, I will list the original car design with the original scan.

Name Notes - This is the original name.  No idea what it means.

Antiope 2037 - Div25 Luxury (Galaxy) (Obsolete)

Updated here.
Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Thundercat PP, 4 PR Tires, Driver & Gunner; VMG (20/HD-incen) in turret, 2 linked MFRPs front, 125 pts Plastic Armor: F 30 B 25 R 20 L 20 T 15 U 15; HC: 3, Acc. 10, 6600 lbs., $24,650.00

Design Notes - This is another of the original 2037 designs that I didn't upload back in 2057.  Possibly because of the feshtunkener T-cat engine - which was the ONLY option back in the day to get 10 acceleration at max. weight for a luxury - and because of the obsolete VMG ammo.  As far as I know, you can't mix High Density with Incendiary ammo (even though the military does that in the real world... another thing to revisit).

Name Notes - Original name from 2037: "Fastenweird," which was a companion design (because of the T-cat engine) to the original "Fastenpurty" (renamed Grapeshot).

The new name, Galaxy themed, is from a double asteroid, as it says in the Wiki:
"90 Antiope (/ænˈt.əp/ an-TY-ə-pee) is a double asteroid in the outer asteroid belt. It was discovered on October 1, 1866, by Robert Luther. In 2000 it was found to consist of two almost-equally-sized bodies orbiting each other. ... The number in 90 Antiope's name denotes that it was the 90th asteroid to be discovered. Its proper name comes from Greek mythology, though it is disputed as to whether this is Antiope the Amazon or Antiope the mother of Amphion and Zethus."
My blog is both fun and educational!

Experi II 2037 - Light Tank (Combat)

Light Tank, Tank Suspension, Small PP (8space, 20dp), 2 Combat Treads (55dp) Driver, 3 Gunners (2 in hull, 1 in turret), Medium Tank Gun in 6sp. turret, 2 linked HL front, 2 laser batteries, VMG back, 4 HRTC, 444 pts Plastic Armor: F 100 B 70 R 80 L 80 T 60 U 54;  HC: 3, Acc. 5, 21,998 lbs. (max 22,000), $143,960.00

Combat Record
  • Shots: 1 for HLs, 4 for TG, 1 for VMG
  • Hits: 11 for left tread, 7 for right tread.

Design Notes -I don't know who I was fighting against.  I do like this tank, who wouldn't.

Name Notes - "Experi" comes from 'experiment.'  Nothing to be ashamed of, most military names are these uncool practicalities.

Choplifter 2037 - RPG Chopper

Standard Chopper, Small PP, pilot, 16 passengers, RL (10/reg) front,  71 pts Plastic Armor: F 14 B 14 R 14 L 14 T 1 U 14,  HC: 2, Acc. 5, 7994 lbs., $58,480.00

Design Notes - No, that's not metal armor, that's 14 pts of plastic armor each side.  Gadzooks.   This is another missed vehicle from my original 2037 write-ups; I guess I left it out because it's sucks so.  I think I should update this to make it more like the video game.

Name Notes - Named after a great video game of my day.  But this has no connection to that game chopper; what was I thinking??  (Pic below from here)

Breaker 2037 - Div20 Midsized (Obsolete)

Updated here.
Midsized, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Large PP, 4 Solid Tires, Driver, RL (10/incen) front, 2 linked HR front, 2 linked HR back, HR on rocket platform, ITL on platform, LGL to all 15 rockets, 10 pts CA around TL (on rocket platform - OBSOLETE), ramplate, TC, bumper trigger front to all 3 weapons, 203 pts Plastic Armor: F 50 (ram) B 38 R 40 L 40 T 15 U 20; HC: 3, Acc. 5, 5760 lbs. (max 5760), $19,960.00

Design Notes - I'm noticing that I've left out a lot of my 2037 originals (and this one, as seen by the beautiful lines and lettering was after my freshman year class in architectural drafting).  This is obsolete because of the component armor around the TL.  I must not have understood the rules, who knows.

Bonodell 2063 - Div75 Pickup (Updated)

Type: Pickup 1sp Ext Cab, Chassis: Xtra-Heavy, Suspension: Heavy, Engine: Sport PP,  Tires: 6 FP-Radial-Solids (11dp), Crew: Driver (no equip), Weaponry: 2 linked GG front (10/reg); Weighted Accessories: Active Suspension, spoiler & airdam, safety seat, HD Shocks, Unweighted Accessories: HRSWC, HD-antilock brakes, HTM, Overdrive (linked), no-paint windshield, [6 total links], Dischargers: 10 dischargers: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L); Defenses: smoke disch. linked to 5 laser reactive webs (F, B, R, L, T; covering tires of those sides as well) and 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); Wheel Armor: 59 pts total (2x10 WG rear, 39 pts WH (you choose where)), 9 pts LRFP Component Armor each around (a) PP [6 spaces] and (b) driver [2 sp.], Cargo: 11 cargo spaces, 66 pts Composite Armor (38 LR Metal/28 FP Plastic): F(8/5) B(8/5) R(8/5) L(8/5) T(3/3) U(3/5); HC: 4 (5 over 60), Acc. 5 (HTM 10/Overdrive 2.5), Top Speed 110 (82.5/130), Pwr 3450, 7797.4 lbs. (max 7800), $74,361.00

Ram Option 1 - add ramplate, armor is now 34 pts LR Metal, 26 pts FP Plastic: F 8/4 (ram) B 7/4 R 8/4 L 8/4 T 1/5 U 2/5; 7797.4 lbs, $75,021.00

Ram Option 2 - add ramplate, armor is now LRFP Plastic; there are 33 pts for WG/WH; vehicle armor is 180 pts LRFP: F 50 (ram) B 35 R 35 L 35 T 10 U 15; , 7800.1 lbs, $84,775.00

Design Notes - An update of one of my favorite combat veterans:
Pickup, Xhvy Ch., Hvy Sus., Super PP, driver, 6 SD tires, 2 linked GG front, cyberlink, no-paint windshield, 281 pts. FP armor: F70, R60, L60, B50, T20, U21; Acc. 5, HC 2; 7791 lbs., $59,564
Simple, deadly. But only 10 shots, and then it's what?  Even in the original, I had a ram option.  But to be honest, I have no idea how the ram rules work with composite armor, hence the second option.

[Updated Oct 2, 2015]

Nunam - Div5 Subcompact (Galaxy)

Subcompact, Heavy Chassis, Light Suspension, Small PP (PC) (5dp), 4 HD Tires (6dp), Driver (no equip), FT (10/reg) front, HRSWC, 27 pts Plastic Armor: F 6 B 5 R 7 L 7 T 1 U 1; HC: 2, Acc. 5, Top Speed 90, Pwr 840, 2445 lbs. (max 2530), $4,997.00
  • RL Option - Subcompact, Standard Chassis, Light Suspension, Small PP (5dp), 4 Standard Tires (4dp), Driver (no equip), RL (8/reg) front, HRSWC, 20 pts Plastic Armor: F 4 B 4 R 5 L 5 T 1 U 1; HC: 2, Acc. 5, Top Speed 95, Pwr 800, 2110 lbs. (max 2300), $5,000.00

Design Notes - As I said here with Weywot, this started as a project to get a HRSWC into a div5 car.  I started with a RL and that forced a design with almost has the bare minimum of components and still be called a car.  Then I realized that the FT is cheaper, and a FT plus HRSWC is pretty effective, I'd imagine.  The FT design was so much better that I made it the primary.  Both still lack armor for my confidence though.

Subcompacts' higher HC allows me to save some money with a light suspension, and every dollar counts in this division.

Name Notes -From the Wiki: "79360 Sila–Nunam (IAU name: 79360 Sila–Nunam) is a double classical Kuiper belt object (cubewano) with components of almost equal size, orbiting beyond Neptune in the Solar System. The name of the system is the combined names of the two bodies, Sila and Nunam."

Weywot - Div5 Compact (Galaxy)

Compact, Light Chassis, Improved Suspension, Medium PP (8dp), 4 HD Tires (6dp), Driver (no equip), RL (10/reg) front, JD (10/reg) rear, SWC, 46 pts sloped Composite Armor (15 Metal/31 Plastic): F 4/7 B 3/8 R 3/8 L 3/8 T 1/0 U 1/0; HC: 2, Acc. 5, Top Speed 105, Pwr 1400, 3321 lbs. (max 3300), $4,999.55

Design Notes -This started as an idea to get a HRSWC in a Div5 vehicle, and while I started as a compact and I found quickly that it would be impossible with that body; it can be done with a subcompact though, which I will upload next.  This car is pretty functional, though, especially with the metal armor (which can help against flamethrowers).

Name Notes - Weywot is a moon for Quaoar.  According to the Wiki: "Weywot ....  is the only known moon of the trans-Neptunian object Quaoar. Its discovery by Michael E. Brown was reported in IAUC 8812 on 22 February 2007.... Brown left the choice of a name up to the Tongva (whose creator god Quaoar had been named after), who chose the sky god Weywot, son of Quaoar."

Quaoar - Div5 Compact (Galaxy)

Compact, Light Chassis, Improved Suspension, Medium PP (8dp), 4 HD Tires (6dp), Driver (no equip), ATG (9/reg) front, 0 total links, no cargo space, 15 pts sloped Composite Armor (10 Metal/5 Plastic): F 2/0 B 2/0 R 3/0 L 3/0 T 0/1 U 0/4; HC: 2, Acc. 5, Top Speed 105, Pwr 1400, 3330 lbs. (max 3300), $4,999.00

  • Plastic Option - Compact, Light Chassis, Light Suspension, Medium PP (8dp), 4 HD Tires (6dp), Driver (no equip), ATG (9/reg) front, 55 pts sloped Plastic Armor F 12 B 11 R 14 L 14 T 2 U 2; HC: 1, Acc. 5, Top Speed 105, Pwr 1400, 3330 lbs. (max 3300), $4,956.00

  • SWC Option - Compact, Light Chassis, Light Suspension, Medium PP (8dp), 2 HD Tires (6dp) front, 2 Standard Tires (4dp) rear, Driver (no equip), ATG (9/reg) front, SWC, 0 total links, no cargo space, 15 pts sloped Composite Armor (10 Metal/5 Plastic): F 2/0 B 2/0 R 3/0 L 3/0 T 0/1 U 0/4; HC: 1, Acc. 5, Top Speed 105, Pwr 1400, 3330 lbs. (max 3300), $4,999.00

  • SWC Plastic Option - Compact, Light Chassis, Light Suspension, Medium PP (8dp), 4 Standard Tires (4dp), Driver (no equip), ATG (9/reg) front, JD (10/reg) rear, SWC, 36 pts Plastic Armor F 8 B 8 R 9 L 9 T 1 U 1; HC: 1, Acc. 5, Top Speed 105, Pwr 1400, 3301 lbs. (max 3300), $4,988.00

Design Notes - This started as a simple idea: a div5 with an anti-tank gun.  Not saying I'd drive this, but I feel I should make more div5s.  I made the plastic armor versions because I don't know if 2 pts of metal armor are worth anything.  To get the SWC, I needed to sacrifice a lot.

Name Notes -According to the Wiki: "50000 Quaoar ("Kwawar") is a rocky trans-Neptunian object in the Kuiper belt with one known moon. It is probably a dwarf planet. ... discovered on June 4, 2002 .... Quaoar is named for the Tongva creator god, following International Astronomical Union naming conventions for non-resonant Kuiper belt objects. The Tongva are the native people of the area around Los Angeles, where the discovery of Quaoar was made. Brown et al. had picked the name with the more intuitive spelling Kwawar, but the preferred spelling among the Tongva was Qua-o-ar."

Blowout 2067 - Div70 Van (Updated)

Van, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, 150 cid IC Engine (Tubes/Blue/VP) (9dp), 5 gal dueling tank (8dp), 6 PR Radial Tires (8dp), Driver & Gunner; VFRP (30/AP) in turret, 2 linked RL (10/reg) front, 2 linked RL (10/reg) back, ITL in turret, ITL back, ITL front, LGL to 70 rockets, 2 HRTC, 2 smartlinks (front & back ITLs to turret ITL), HD-antilock brakes, Overdrive, no-paint windshield, 7 smoke dischargers (F B 2R 2L 1T) linked to 5 laser reactive webs (F, B, R, L, T; covering tires of those sides as well) and 4 bumper triggers (linked to that side's weapons); 7 total links, 20 pts total for Wheelguards/Wheelhubs (you choose where), 9 pts LRFP Component Armor each around (a) PP/gas tank [3 spaces] (b) driver [2 sp.], (c) front RLs & ITL [4 sp.], (d) rear RLs & ITLs [4 sp.], 6 cargo spaces, 131 pts sloped Plastic Armor: F 30 B 30 R 30 L 30 T 6 U 5; HC: 3, Acc. 10 (Overdrive 5), Top Speed 62.5 (82.5), MPG 45, 7196.4 lbs. (max 7200), $73,848.50

Design Notes - This is an update of this iffy 2037 Van:
Van, Xhvy Ch., Hvy Sus., Super PP, 6 SD tires, driver & gunner, 7 RL: 2 linked front, 2 back, 1 R & L, 1 in turret, 1 targ. comp, 1 SWC, 100 pts. Armor: F25 R20 L20 B20 T5 U10; Acc. 5, HC 2; 7200 lbs., $25,000

The original was almost a design experiment "how many rocket launchers can I fit in a van?" type deal.  The modified version uses a VFRP since that seems more fitting for a van.  Along with the turret, I felt side RL were overkill, especially when I could use those 500 lbs, and space, for sloping and CA.

Bloorib 2037 - Div10 Station Wagon

Update here:
Station Wagon, Standard Chassis, Light Suspension, Large PP, 4 PR Tires, Driver, ATG front, 2 HRs left, 2 HRs right, 135 pts Plastic Armor: F 30 B 30 R 25 L 25 T 10 U 15; HC: 1 Acc. 5, 5500 lbs. (max 5500), $9,600.00
  • Option - upgade to Heavy Chassis, 7 cargo spaces with 550 lbs capacity, $10,000

Design Notes - I didn't write this up back in 2057 and I assume it's because it stinks.

Name Notes - This was named with my old system of using 3-4 random consonants and then adding vowels afterward.  It's an embarrassing system, but 6 years later, I'm OK with my younger, dorkier self.

New Weapon: Retractable Tire Shredders

Retractable Tire Blades$250, 30lbs, 1 space, 0 DP.

This is something from James Bond and I included it in my replica of the Aston Martin DBV.

Those stats above are for the brushcutter, and while in general I think things should weigh more, I'm also a stickler for consistency.  The other model is the retractable wheelguards which are $250, 50lbs, and 1space per pair, which I'll add to this as well, but instead of front/back, "pair" will be per side.

The write-up for the brushcutter states: "Extends or retracts in one second. Extending or retracting [it] is a firing action." So we'll keep that as well.  In the movie, these came out of the center of the tires and were able to shred the target's tires and chew up the side metal.  I think that they must come out of the axle, and so I'm thinking that the car won't be able to turn when it's deployed.  Also, there should be a hazard for both vehicles while the damage is occurring.  Damage should occur for each second.

So, proposed rules are that once the blades are deployed, the car cannot turn the wheels or the blades will break.   Once extended, any vehicle component next to the blade will take 1d6 worth of damage per second of contact, depending on a 1d6 roll: 1-2 front tire, 3-4 side armor, 5-6 rear tire.  If tire is targeted, then WG/WH will be affected in their same rate as other targeting.  The attacking car sustains a D1 hazard, the targeted car sustains a D2.

Again, these rules are proposed.  This really needs to be playtested.

UPDATE: Reader "Pat G" suggests this modification, which I think makes sense: "can only make D1 maneuvers"- which would allow drifts into the target.

(max 5760), $39,821.00

Design Notes - Here we go! This is a response to the design contest. [Nov 15, 2013: I added the 2009 option because I just found it in my draft pile; the first entry is the more thorough/thoughtful one].

What follows is the list (in bold) of the devices in the car according to the Wiki, and un-bolded how the above design fulfilled the requirements:
  1. Front firing Browning .30 caliber machine guns behind the front indicators
    • There's a long debate about whether the MG is 30 cal or 50 cal.  I think it's 50 but the ADQ says it's 30.  At first I designed this with LMGs, but I saw that it was real wussy, so I used the full MG (so please don't use this to think I've resolved the debate).
  2. Retractable blades in the tire spinners
    • Unavailable in Car Wars, so I've used the same stats as a retractable brushcutter.  I'll put the stats in another post for how I think this could exist in the game.[Update, here's the post]
  3. Rising bullet-proof rear screen
    • There's no use for this in Car Wars world, is there?  Not included.
  4. Radio telephone
    • Hee hee hee.  Cellphones are standard for pre-teens now.  For the game, I made this the LDR.
  5. Radar scanner and tracking screen
    • These are the 3 radar components: radar, detector (no jammer), plus a new item I've priced at $2000 (no weight/space) and works like in the movie, which appears like the modern GPS system.
  6. Passenger ejector seat
    • This actually exists in Car Wars, as you would hope.
  7. Oil slick spray from rear light cluster
    • Also exists in CW
  8. Caltrops from rear light cluster
    • Also exists in CW
  9. Smoke screen from exhaust pipes
    • Also exists in CW
  10. Revolving number plates [three countries]
    • New device; I priced it at $400, no weight or space (and illegal)
  11. Front and rear extending rams
    • Ramplates are standard in CW.  No rear ram, and I'm not sure why, and I didn't include it.
  12. Gun cabinet under driver's seat
    • Probably standard equipment in all CW world cars
  13. Bullet-proof windshield and rear windscreen
    • Standard for every car in CW world.

Beast 2037 - RPG Pickup (Obsolete)

Updated here.
Pickup, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Super PP, 6 Solid Tires, Driver, RL (20/incen) in UM turret, ITL in turret, LGL for 20 rockets, ID (25/reg) back, ramplate, cyberlink, Active Suspension, HD-antilock brakes, Overdrive, IFE, ATAD no-paint tinted windshield, ATAD linked to ID, weapon timer to ID, computer gunner, anti-theft system to 10 weightless grenades, LDR, radar, radar detector linked to radar jammer, 10 weightless smoke dischargers: (F B 2T, 2U 2R 2L); 1 bumper trigger front, 1 total link, 59 pts total for Wheelguards/Wheelhubs (you choose where), 222 pts FPRP Plastic Armor: F 50 (ram) B 40 R 40 L 40 T 30 U 20,  HC: 3, Acc. 5 (Overdrive 2.5), listed weight 7798 lbs. (real weight 7948, max 7800), listed cost $92,696.00 (actually $94,296) Also, as listed, 2 spaces over limit.

Error Fixing Option - body is 2 space Ext. Cab, no anti-theft system, no AP grenades or dischargers, 168 pts armor: F50 (ram), BRL 30, TU 14, 7797lbs $94,788

Design Notes - I missed this one from my writeups back in 2007.  Ah well.

As seen from my worksheet back in 2037, I only had 4 instead of 6 tires.  Whoops.  Also back then, not only did dischargers/AP grenades not weigh anything but you could double up AP grenades and dischargers (and there were only smoke dischargers).  The quick fix was to add 2 spaces.  Not sure this can be viably upgraded.

Barbeque 2063 - Div25 Luxury (Update)

Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Large PP (SC) (10dp), 4 FP-Steelbelted-PR Tires (11dp), Driver (FP Suit), VMG (20/incen) in turret, 3xHDFOJ (10/reg) right, left, back, all linked; IFE, SWC, safety seat, 10 dischargers: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L): smoke linked to 5 laser reactive webs (F, B, R, L, T; covering tires of those sides as well) and 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); 6 total links, 38 pts total for Wheelguards/Wheelhubs (you choose where), 59 pts Composite Armor (34 LR Metal/25 Plastic): F 8/0 B 8/0 R 8/0 L 8/0 T 0/20 U 2/5; HC: 3, Acc. 5, Top Speed 90, Pwr 2200, 6600 lbs. (max 6600), $24,850.00

FOJ Option - Luxury, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Large PP (SC) (10dp), 4 FP-Steelbelted-PR Tires (11dp), Driver (no eqip), VMG (20/incen) in turret, HDFOJ (10/reg) back, FOJ (25/reg) right, FOJ (25/reg) left, all 3 linked; IFE, HRSWC, safety seat, 10 dischargers: 4 oil (FBRL) 6 smoke (2T, 2U, 1R 1L): smoke linked to 1 laser reactive web (Top); 4 bumper triggers (to oil & also linked to that side's weapons); 2 total links, 39 pts total for Wheelguards/Wheelhubs (you choose where), 9 pts LRFP Component Armor each around (a) PP [5 spaces] and (b) driver [2 sp.], no cargo space,  57 pts Composite Armor (34 LR Metal/25 Plastic): F 8/0 B 8/0 R 8/0 L 8/0 T 0/18 U 2/5; HC: 3, Acc. 5, Top Speed 90, Pwr 2200, 6600 lbs. (max 6600), $24,957.50

Design Notes -This is an update of this: Luxury, Xhvy Ch., Hvy Sus., Super PP, driver, 4 SD tires, VMG in turret, 3 linked HDFOJ (B,R,L); 218 pts. Armor: F50 R40 L40 B45 T25 U18; Acc. 5, HC 3; 6600 lbs., $22,310

The top version is a faithful reconstruction of the 2037 design - basically shrinking the Super PP to a Large (who the heck uses the Super anymore) - and using the space and weight for an IFE.  The second version is better because I don't think 3 HDFOJs are needed, especially from the sides.  By shrinking the HDFOJs, I can get component armor.  But to get the price under 25 I needed to reduce some things, in this case it was the laser-web system to just the top.

I'm also using an idea from ADQ v7n1 which stated:
"If the Brotherhood only feels safe driving on 18-point tires, then the rest of us have to take a hard look at solids or better for our vehicles. A good alternative is the steel-belted, fireproof PR tire. This wonder of technology weighs the same as a solid, has the same DP, costs only $100 more and won't catch fire."
This is enough of a fun idea and I think I can use it for these fire based cars. Especially since they nerfed the spike resistance of solids.

Also on the fire kick, I thought I could turn the 218 pts of plastic into an effective metal armor configuration.  Metal only really works when you have enough of it, and 8 is a minimum effective thickness for me.

Armageddon III 2037 - Div35 Van (Obsolete)

Update of main design here. Revised but still obsolete write-ups: Armageddon II & Armageddon III.
Van, Xtra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Super PP, 4 PR Tires back, 2 PRR tires front, Driver, 3 HRs in 3sp. turret, 3x3sp rocket magazines: 12 HR total (8 links for HRs to allow different firing, in 3s and 2s), all fire simultaneously); ITL in turret, LGL to 12 rockets, HDFOJ (10/reg) left, HDFOJ (9/reg) right, link to HDFOJs, HRTC, 8 links, 7 cargo spaces 7lbs, 119 pts FP Plastic Armor: F 30 B 20 R 20 L 20 T 25 U 4HC: 2, Acc. 5, 7193 lbs., $33,800
  • Option 1 - replace HRs with 24 LRs, with connecting links, replace PR tires to Solid, add 35 pts armor, full load in right HDFOJ, 7198 lbs, $35,990

  • Option 2 - replace HRs with 36 MnRs, .... [all that's written down]
Design Notes - The flawed write-up here, and I see I was clever in trying to fix the design, instead of being historically accurate.

Things that would've been better: VFRP is a better system than this, except that this will allow 9d6 in one turn (but it's a good replacement for the 24 LRs).  Also, there was no HRSWC back then.  And, of course, the PRR problem.  I think I put in an IRL because I knew about it, not because I knew what it did.
